Question March BWE

It's just over 2 weeks away, so I wanted to see what people are expecting to accomplish, to do, or to see in the March BWE?

It is clear that all characters will start from Level 1 when the game is released so there is a fair playing field for all. Therefore, leveling up a character may not be a primary concern. Plus lots of suggestions for changes/improvements have been made. That could be of primary importance to you.

As for me, I am anxious to see if any changes have been made. I'm hoping to try on a new character mix. Also, to get a better handle on what skill mix works well (specially for the Ranger). And to meet my guild mates. As Joel the Just said the March BWE provides our guild with a team photo op.

So what's up? What are you looking forward to? What are your expectations?

Thanks!

i am looking for the people i will need to see for the initial skills for my character, doing fast collecting of gold exp and items such as the additional storage and seeing if they are still in the same places and sending in bug reports so they will hopefully be swatted now rather than later

explore have fun

I plan on NOT starting from level 1 as I've done in the previous 2 events... lol.

I'm sick of getting to about lvl 12 or 13 by the end of the weekend and then hearing about all the fun people had playing in the PvP...

Basically, I'm going to start @ level 20 this time... not a PreMrade character though... that way I can actually test a build I've been working on and such.

Besides, this event is probably not a bad time to give PvP more of a go as it's supposedly the "focus" of it... we'll see.

I'll be focusing more so on the leveling aspect of my character. I didn't get a chance last time to actually start from scratch. Besides getting an idea on the leveling aspect of Guild Wars, I am going to be working on a build I am trying to perfect, so when release comes I have a good build in place.

Other than that, explore, enjoy myself, test the stuff that is new in the game, and squash some bugs -- should be on everyone's list.

I already have 2 toons on the server. A warrior in seared, and a warrior/mes in pre.
I would like to try a 3rd char,warrior /elemental air.
I would like to get a better understanding of the controls. I have learned much since joining this forum, and look forward to trying them out. Seems I was going about things the hard way last BWE. LOL! I would also like to see what changes have taken place. I play in a RPG style, so
exploration is more important than leveling to me. Opening the map is vital. I plan on taking lots of screens. Hopefully to share with everyone here.
Any heads up on the w/ela build will be greatly appreciated.

i did a lot of exploration the last two BWEs so i'm going to focus more on the pvp this time. i'll still explore to see if the game areas have changed. eyes always open for bugs, but only issue i had in feb was a bit of rubberbanding. i'll also be checking out if i can run a teamspeak server on the same machine i'm playing on, if i need to use a different machine, and how it impacts my bandwidth. i also need to figure out if there's a guild i want to join, so i'll be teaming up a lot and seeing if there's a group i really like.
now, all i have to find is a 72hr sitter for the kids...

I plan to learn how to play my Mes/War better in PvP and hopefully get this build to a nearly complete point where I don't need to tweak much more.

I want to build up a lvl 20 RP R/E with the skills I want and test it out in PvE and PvP. Hopefully I can get a good reading on what I need to do to improve the build and how I can improve as a Ranger.

Lastly I plan to create a lvl 1 R/E (A junior version of the above build) or E/Mo and explore the preseared Ascalon. I ran through it too quickley last time. Hopefully some guildies will join me to make it more fun.

My focus last beta was mostly on PvP, so I'll try more Exploring and PvE this beta (after I test out my Me/W and R/E in PvP, and barring any guild calls for PvP)

MEMORIZE or take notes as all your characters will be wiped back to starting over before launch

I will keep playing Io my R/N wich is level 13 at this time. I hope to reach level 20 and I plan to try PvP, cause I did not really try it yet. Maybe with Io or a ready-made one. Want to try a couple builds ideas. Want to have fun!

I intend to spend some -more- time with a Mes/War IW, specifically tweaking energy management as much as possible and tuning the PvE skillset [in addition to the usual testing of other skills/attr distributions for PvP]. Heck, I might abuse the IW build long enough to no longer want to play it once things go retail.

And farm... farm like crazy because I'd like to know what else is going to be out there mod-wise as I haven't seen any good official word on item mods and their limits and all other gaming experience tells me to expect a half dumptruck of new mods in retail. Might as well give myself a leg up by knowing what some of them are.

Oh yea... and <insert-niceguy-stuff-about-reporting-any-bugs-found>

I'll be testing some level 20 builds to see how they work out. I'll also be attempting (as with all past events) to get as many friends as possible interested in the game by convincing them to try the beta and seeing to it that they have a good time.

I tried out playing an elem/ranger last BWE, got to lvl 16, and I still haven't decided how much I like it. I'm planning to spend Friday lvling up to 20, and farming, and getting armor, and Sat/Sun PvPing. Ever since the WPE I've mostly done PvE, and practically no PvP whatsoever, but since PvP is supposed to be the focal point of the March BWE, I'll have to check that out. And the armor crafting I'm planning on doing would be so much easier if I could transport items from one character to another, but that's something I've been hoping would be implemeted for months now, to no avail, so I won't get my hopes up. If I decide an elem/ranger just doesn't suit me, the next combination I want to try is elem/mes, though i'll definitely be starting from lvl 20 if that happens.

No doubt, like everyone else, I'm planning on having one hell of a time on the next BWE! I'm planning on starting a planned toon from scratch so I can see pre-seared Ascalon and everything about it. I'm anxious to see what they've got implemented and going in ways of PvP action! Gotta use some of it to my advantage with our guild and start playing around! I wanna get out there and get some missions done and see what the whole world of Ascalon is like... and definitely hoping that they've done something with the carrying capabilities and allowing transfers between characters (storage wise) like they did in Diablo 2!

Looking forward to running into plenty of familiar names from in here and either getting my @$$ kicked or dropping some jaws myself!

Well since they've stated they were going to add a whole lot of new PvP content, I'll most definitely be spending event #7 entirely PvPing.

I'd like to get my monk/ranger to 20 so I can pvp with him, but other than that leveling I'll be doing pvp, as long as there really have been some nice changes anyway.

I am looking forward to even plaing the game, for I never have. I am still debating what character to make.... Mesmer/Elementalist, Mesmer/Warrior.....Mesmer/Elementalist, Mesmer/Warrior.... >.< AAAH! I don't know! So yeah, cahracter creation and getting the name I want is what I am up for. Also, learning how to paly and hopefully gettin' somewhere in it! Yeah, and of course HAVING AN AWESOME, KICKASS TIME!
