When we (SoW) ran our ninja build killing the guild lord in 1 minute 16 seconds record.
That was intense and such an adrenaline rush.

Well, it may not be the best, but our GvG battle (LF) against Dii took a little over 2 hours. We were somewhat evenly matched, and that big tar pit in the middle (we chose the isle of the dead as our guild hall at that time - without knowing about the tar ) certainly did not help the fights going any faster. We almost lost on the middle of the game where several of our members stacked quite a bit of DP, but we managed to recover by killing them around our guild lords area. We actually pulled their warriors inside the lord room and had to physically blocked them so they couldn't run back out. We won the game in the end.
The other memorable game was against IVEX. They pwned our monks so hard (we had 3) it wasn't even funny. All of our monks were dead within minutes into the game, and the rest followed soon. They made us look like we played GvG for the first time

haha, i liked the one vs KOR where we made them 5 vs 8 us becuase they needed healers at their lord to keep it from dying.
psychological beatdown.

The one I remember the most wasn't because it dragged on for ages, or because of any special builds, strategies, etc.. but rather what the enemy team said..
Enemy team: Hey, could you possibly show us where your flagstand is? We're new to this map.

Well, ZoS didn't really have any 'big' battles this last or the prior BWE. We used to be in the Top 20, but after the ladder reset, we've been kind of lazy, and mostly just take new recuits into Tombs over the weekend. Having said that, that's not to say we haven't had some excellent battles in the past.
We had one against House Palomides that was basically an epic tug-of-war for somewhere in the neighborhood of .. hmm .. two and a half hours, I believe? We finally ended up winning it, which at the time, could only have been considered a pretty big upset .. as after all, they did make their way into the Alpha by being a top 5 Ladder guild.
As for a more dramatic battle .. hmm .. I can't seem to recall the name of the Guild, as it was probably 3 months ago, but whoever they were, they were very well organized .. and the concepts of their build, and our build, just didn't mesh well together. The first part of the match, we were basically getting steamrolled. It got so bad, that everyone was down to 60% DP and dead, save for two people. In what can only be described as incredible luck, or incredibly poor observational skills from a team that got arrogant on overconfidence .. one of us managed to get the flag, while the other got their attention .. and they merrily chased him all over the map, buying us enough time to get the morale boost, and rez again. They weren't prepared for it, and it was enough to take their team out. After that point, things became a very, very tenacious battle to hold the stand. Slowly but surely, we made our way back from DP, to positive MB, all the while slowly whittling away at this other team. Perhaps they weren't prepared for the sudden shift in the dynamics of battle .. but it was something that they just couldn't recover from. Each time they got up again, they only came back weaker as we slowly but surely forced our way into their base, picking of all of the NPCs as we went. That was another 2~ hour match, that we went on to win.
A good time was had by all, and on that day, I think we all learned a valuable lesson: Sharing is caring, and an orange a day helps keep scurvy away.

The best guild vs. guild battle I was in was against Negative Alpha[NA]. They ran a signet build that, I believe, had 6 or 7 total monk primaries. They only had 2 or 3 healing monks and rest were smiting. So many signets, and knockdowns. We eventually killed one of their healing monks enough times to get him down to 60% penalty and made it a 7v8. It was a good guild battle, and the longest that I was in.
Thanks mostro for the compliments .

Hehe. Well I wasn't feeling too bad after reading that even n0 had their healers killed by IVEX pretty early in the game. Looks like you guys had a good tactic to kill healers very quickly.

did this take place in the frozen isle guild hall?
this happened to the guild i am currently in. we forgot to close the damn backdoor and ran the long way to their hero, but nobody else was there, next thing we know, we see the health bar on our hero dimminish and then we all dropped. sadly to say, we learned our lesson.
that was our only loss. witch could have been easily prevented lol.
other than that, the other gvg matches were all pretty much the same. one sided and too easy. guess we didnt get any top 100 challangers.
as for the tombs, i can recall alot of great battles with this same group.
one was vs photics. i could have sworn we were going to loose, but, we pulled it off quite well. killing the leader of the pack "P H O T I C S" over and over, and that made their team pretty crappy with no lead target caller.

Well this battle wasn't a GvG but it shure as hell was memorable. LoneDust and I wanted to test out a combo involving Thunderclap and Aftershock. So I went to the PvP creation screen and made me a little elementalist with max air and max energy. Since my guildmate wasn't ready I decided to give my Thunderclapping a solo test run to get used to it so I started a tombs run without him and only with henchies. We defended the hero and got in. Surprinsingly, my first battle was a King of the Hill map right off the bat. An ennemy team came to my base and stole my orb. I was scared they would attack me so I stayed still as if I'd be disconnected. I let the battle go for a good 2 minutes looking at the score chart to see how things went. One team was giving hell to the others. So I finally decided to get out and Thunderclap everyone on the hill. Hehehe so I thuderclap the hero and just keep it up with the wand attacks knocking everything around him. Not too long after the other team raised out of nowhere. I recharged my energy and then as they rushed the altar I thunderclapped the defending monks. It was quite funny because 3 characters held orbs in their hands so everytime they got knocked down these huge pillars of light came crashing down. The two teams killed each other's heros and the raised attackers managed to wipe out the defenders. To my surprise the defenders were Knight's Templar. Since there was 1 minute left I decided to try to bring my hero to the top. Of course when they found me an my henchies we all got slaughtered, cause well (1player + 4npcs)vs 8players is not really a challenge. But I have to say that seeing a bunch of people get knocked down every few seconds was quite the site to see.
Later on we managed to get a good 6 man team running ridiculous builds where 4 people had meteor shower and echo, 1 had thunderclap and 1 had water magic. One round we managed to kill off an entire 8 man team. When the other teams came to fight us the comment: 'how the hell did a team of henchies kill an 8 man team ?' which made us all laugh. Of course such build was for fun, heck my skillbar only had 4 skills in it. One thing is that we always got the opposite team scared, what with 4 meteor showers and firestorms running. And to the contrary of popular belief Meteor Shower isn't that great, they just had to heal seed two of the players stuck in it and it voided all the damage we could dish out.

Yeah that assassin build was pretty sick. Too bad it won't work anymore now that Grenth's got changed. I enjoyed doing 1000 damage to the Guild Lord.
Other than that, for me my most memrorable battle was the first Guild Battle we won in the alpha test. We were getting beat down by a guild called GAME really bad early on. Some how we managed to get a couple key kills, recap the center and slowly push them back from there. The battle lasted around 90 or so minutes. This was way back in October when we first got into the test.
