WTF is the point of pre-ordering though? If I was you I would tell them it cost you extra money in Gas and your time for there mistake, tell the mgr he/she needs to credit you back some cash for the inconvienance they created

There is a Best Buy next door. If the game isn't in by thursday I will be getting a refund and never shopping there again. I will also Email there head office with a complaint. The part that really burns my ass is the fact they called me and told me to come pick it up. I can deal with it not being there since the game isn't officially due out until the 28th but why the hell call me and tell me to come get it.
To the poster above me just curious but did you get the collectors eddition?

erm i dunno.. the pre-order i got might be.. it says its exclusive for customers of EB games
but the full version i got seems to be just a normal copy... they had 3 different boxes though... just different pics though.

Not in defense of EB or anything (I worked for their competition), but it might not be the stores fault.
At Gamestop we didn't call the customers when the games came in. An automated service from our corporate office did. This usually was great because it meant one employee wasn't on the phone all day.
Other side of the coin was that sometimes UPS dropped the ball. We might not get the shipment when UPS said we would...gets lost, is late, whatever. Then the calls have been made and there isn't anything to be done about it.
Yes, if it doesn't come in on time, get your money back or get at least a 10% discount on the game when it does come out. This was our standard procedure in such cases...along with much groveling.

Same thing happened to me. I got frustrated but there really isn't anything you can do or the store for the mistake. I have a friend picking it up tonight and then I'll pick it up tomorrow. Saves me another 30 minute drive to go and get told that their head is up their ass again!
I'm ready to game...

I got mine with no problem. When I picked it up, the sales clerk mentioned driving all the way to manchester, nh (half hour drive) to get the copies.

I picked up my Reg. Edition today. One of my freinds came with who ordered the Special Edition. They said the Special Edition didn't ship as fast as the regular, wouldn't be here till late wednesday.

Best (im sorry, did i say best? i mean worst) Buy wouldnt let me change my preorder to collectors edition after they couldnt get the deluxe edition, so i had to cancel my preorder, and now just get there as soon as possible and buy it. oh the stupidity....

My EBGames is pathetic!
After going through the process a second time I was told by the idiot there that he didn't realize I had gotten the CE edition. I'm going to complain again tomorrow because the same kid said I couldn't be compensated for my wasted time and huge inconveniance! I'll complain again tomorrow and get this whole thing taken care of! EBGames may not be at fault but they are currently my problem and I wanna kick someone's butt and get my problem taken care of. Gotta love it when people are too stupid to realize the problems they create for others.
It'll "supposedly" be in tomorrow by late morning! Lets see if I believe that one!
Enough of my ranting though...
