Default Salvage Items from a collector

I just have a small question...(might contain a spoiler)

I got that Shocking Diessa Flatbow from taht collector outside of Sardelac Sanitarium... now i have a new bow, and since im a R/E (air) i want a lighting string...

So i thought lets use an expert salvage kit on the shocking diessa bow, but that doesnt work... it says this item isnt salvageble....

Is that because it came from a collector, or am i doing something wrong...

Did they disable salvaging collector items to make it less easy ?

If so i guess i'll just have to look for a dropped shocking bow
