The gold will come. If you just do the quests that take you to the next town and do the missions when you find them (I also to any skill quests i can find), you'll have all the money, and materials you'll need for the armor apropriate for your level. Along the way you'll find a few things (minor/major runes, rare weapon parts) that'll sell well, if you don't want to save them for yourself or another toon. BTW after I left yaks bend i did no side quests (exept the before mentioned skill quests) and i am 18 and not near done with the main story line (haveing no trouble in PvE).
