Yes, in fact, it can be a saving grace to rez a well-played monk, who can then rez another player... but if you're down by 2 guys, chances are good the monk will get swamped unless you've already knocked out one of their Warriors or Elementalists.

You definitly like to have a res.
The main problem in random PVP is... it's randomness. You may end up having 5 death-necromancers on the team against 2 warriors, 2 spellcasters and one monk.

I always bring ressurrect (Monk), and not the signet; restore life. That way, I can rezz as many people as I want

Lately, i've noticed random pvp go seriously downhill. Today, I got seriously aggrivated that during around 10 battles or so, our group never once had a full monk and just once or twice we had a monk secondary. But we always was opposed by at least 2 sometimes even 3 monk secondarys and one primary and we just couldn't counter the killing rez cycles, especially if you get a decent monk.
My main is set up against runners and rezers, my character is W/ME with diversion and ethereal burden, distracting blow, leech signet, shield stance and, bingo Rez sig as my main skills against them, but if no one else can counter your enemys rezin capabilitys you are doomed to failure, after all, the team who rezs fastest and most effectively will almost always win.
What, DEATH AT THE DOOR said it true and i've noticed that now people literally just leave the game once they work out there chances of winning. At least 3 times now, many people just leave if our team didn't have a monk primary and the other team did, and honestly I see it happening more and more after all, people who pvp want to win. If they logically see little chance, whats the point?
However, the other mode they added like in the academy where it was points based was completely different since rezin wasn't an issue, those were really fun, and well balanced. Its a shame those match ups seemed very rare. The devs should really make better options for random pvp and a choice of pvp styles. More options please!!

well...it must be a coincidence, usually Im pulling my hair out from all the noobs res-signeting their entire team after we have decimated them. I finally went ranger and just devote myself to interupting ressing newbs.

Whats your primary offense skills against the rezzing newbs? Is there any other ways to totally counter a signet, other than knockdown?
I use leech signet against any mos rezzing, but doesn't stop res signet and not always am I able to throw in a distracting blow.

First few random pvp match today 4 vs 4 (Lions Arch Area Arena)
First Match: we lost
(only me and the W/E had rez sig, other team had massive rezin, the MO single profession was an expert monk, he rocked had massive healing and defensive skills)
Blue Team
20 W/ME (me)
20 N/W
20 W/E
20 R/ME
VS
20 W/MO (Used Hammers)
20 W/MO (Used Axes)
20 MO
20 R/ME
Second Match: We Lost
(Our E/Mo was obviously the primary target, and for a few minutes was touch and go, once we lost her and I rezed her, she was constantly cursed and dotted, one of our rangers was pretty good and was using apply poison and killed there W/MO pretty easily, but there MO, again was a decent and running away before I could do anything to stop the guy. Ethereal Burden doesn't last long enough and has a high recast time, where is hamstring when you need it? lol
Blue Team
20 W/ME (me)
20 E/MO
20 R/W
20 R/N
Red Team
20 W/MO
20 MO/ME
20 N/ME
20 ME/MO
Had several more fights, each time I was on the blue team and for some strange reason, never had serious monkage, almost like it was handicapped. Out of 5 fights, we won one. I'm thinking maybe the cast time on any rez spell or sig should be increased?

I have a motto... "if you want a rez, get someone besides a primary healer to do it; they just don't have time!" If ANYONE is to not have rez slotted, it should be the primary healer so that less people die to begin with.
