Hi everyone this is my first time posting so im sorry if this is the wrong place. my question is what do i with my secondary elementalist skills? i've built a warrior/elem up to level 18 and find that all i do is bash monsters with my hammer. i would like to use more skills that would help me in battle. i've also started a second character a mo/war, i noticed that people are always looking for a monk
conjures are made for w/ele's because they only work with weapons. Now I know that a wand or staff coul be used to do this but come on now, how often are you using your wand when you could be bashing them with a fireball?
My suggestions:
Conjure of element of your weapon (fire, air, water, earth)
Swirling Aura (For 8-18 seconds, Swirling Aura has a 75% chance to block arrows and magical projectiles.)
Magnetic Aura (For 5-10 seconds, Magnetic Aura has a 75% chance to block melee attacks.)
You'll have about 10 seconds where you'll be free from harm. I use this when running through mobs to reach a portal. You know, the final stretch.
You could also try some cheap skills that are PBAoE cause you said you're always bashing them with a hammer. Here's a couple: Shock (Target touched foe is struck for 10~51 lightning damage and is knocked down. This spell has 25% armor penetration and causes exhaustion.)
(this ones better for Warrior vs Warrior)-Enervating Charge (Target foe is struck for 5-41 lightning damage and suffers from weakness for 5-17 seconds. This spell has 25% armor penetration.)
Heres a fast finisher: Inferno (Deal 15-99 fire damage to nearby enemies.) I like this cause it takes 3/4 a second to cast.
I didnt put some of the water ones because I dont think slowing down your enemies will help you if you're sitting right next to them. Anyway, heres a few if you think that would be useful:
Frozen Burst (Foes adjacent to you are struck for 20-68 cold damage and are slowed for 5-10 seconds.) This is another 3/4 a second one.
Deep Freeze (You cause a deep freeze at target foe's location. All foes near this location are struck for 10-70 cold damage. For 10 seconds, all foes move 50% slower than normal.) Probably not the best cause it costs 25 energy and you warriors are lacking in that.
The best choices from my opinion are:
Swirling Aura+Magnetic Aura
and
Enervating Charge.
