Some gentle, happy observations of GW
1) I'm really enjoying the storyline. What can I say? I'm a sucker for high fantasy. I like the cut scenes (the 1st time). I just Ascended with my highest character and got to chat with Glint the Dragon. I was thrilled to see the storyline continue a bit more (I've been avoiding spoilers like mad... so I just simply didn't know).
2) While bumping into one guy who kept calling me a terrible monk/healer, he was by far in the minority. He was horrible, calling me names... it was really amazing.... And Sure, I've had some disorganized teams/PUGs, but I've also had some stellar ones. Just completed a mission with a 6 man group, where 2 cut out (one with a very good reason, his boss was coming, can't fault that) and we still finished. We blew the bonus (dwarf got killed), but no one got pissy... we all laughed aobut it and kept going. We went slow w/ our depleted team of 4 and beat some horrific battles, especially when 2 mobs converged on us, 1 from behind... but we persevered and won! Immense victory and satisfaction!!!
3) The mirror. I got SUCH a sense of satisfaction of winning. It took me 10,12 times, but I did it. I love how I used skills that I never used before.
4) I'm running 4 characters at the same time. My guild is kinda scattered with its levels, so I keep some characters low level so I can team with the low level guilders. But I enjoy EACH AND EVERY class I've tried so far. They are all a blast. Although, Imust say, if I had to pick a fav, it is my monk/ranger. So what I use a bow instead of the optimum wand... don't care... I like plunking away with a couple of ranger skills in between healing everybody. Posion sure comes n handy!!!
I'm more addicted to this game than Call of Duty... and that is saying something!!!! Great job creators!!! Great job everyone who contributes!!!

Every monk, at some point in his career, will be victim to an embittered group member's infantile wrath. It's much more a commentary on them than you.

Yup, I rarely even talk in groups when not with my guild.
Example: Doing the mission out of Iron mines. One person dropped within two minutes. For some reason the group ran to the Seer (trouble and I knew it!). WaMo goes down real fast getting the remains. Starts the usual "Oh real nice heals" etc..
Ran back and started doing the mission. This guy is going down left and right. 2 of the seven in the party were not fully infused, and I was the bad monk.
I dont even listen or respond to the bozo's any more.

I was enjoying the storyline somewhat, until I realised that half-arse pile of dross I was served with was the 'ending.' Even Diablo II had a more interesting ending than that.

Does Level really matter? It was my impression that you get exp for your level vs the monsters and the level of other party members does not affect that. I know I've done Gates of Kryta 3 times, once with 3 level 20s in the party, and once with all henchmen and got the same exp for kills in both groups that I could see. Am I wrong on this?

I have to agree the ending is utterly dissapointing. I played for 15 hours to get that crap?

No, level doesn't matter, it is simply a matter of MY preference. I would prefer to team up with my guild mates close to their level, instead of comign in with a character that is several levels higher. If it is close, it is a challenge and thereby interesting for me.

What if your guild mate asks you to come power him though it?

Hasn't happened yet. I'm in a small guild, I think everyone is still exploring... I think i'm teh first to ascend... and I took my time about it.
I guess it depends on the reasons.
