Well in the last RPG that I played for over a year I played an acher, so when I created him I chose the name NIMROD.

The name is from the biblical story of Nimrod and the tower of Bable. Nimrod was the greatest Archer/Hunter that ever lived, he was so great he had a city of followers. However Nimrod became arrogant, thinking he was a better hunter than God he instructed his followers to construct a very tall tower that reached close to heaven, he then stood on top, challanged God arrogantly, and shot an arrow towards heaven. Well this pissed God off pretty bad, he struck the tower and it crumbled into pieces. And just for extra punishemnt he made it so everyone spoke different languages. No one could ever understand anyone else, (hence the term to bable) so they all left Nimrod and the city of Bable, seperating and spreading thier own languages throughout the world (Biblical explanation of why there are differnet languages as well).

Thats why you have an archery equipment company named Nimrod, because Nimrod was by far, the worlds greatest archer. But it's this same story that explains why the name Nimrod is used to call someone a fool.

Eshe means life in Egyptian ( I think )
And Hiba means gift in an African language.
You might be able to guess she's a monk

Then for Ceres,

Ceres means crops, and was the name of a roman/greek goddess of harvest etc.
Thanatos means death, or was the name of the greek God who lived in the underworld.

Ceres Thanatos, meaning something like death of living. Necro

Strangely enough, I saw a monk called Thanatos something a minute ago...

Alright Stilcho Starbow is a name I've used since I started gaming. Stilcho was an obscure character in the Thieves' World stories who was introduced, went off, and turned up dead.

Firstname comes from my oldest D&D character, Gregar, a half-elf Ranger.

Second name Ma-ta-en-noo is the Delaware indian word for "conjurer", which my Grandmother(on my Father's side) was.

I reg'd to my first forum using the name Tsarmina, from the Redwall series of childrens books that not just children read.

I use several variations of the spelling... Tsarmiina, Tsarminya, Minya, for chars in this game.
Daekuon is kinda a stylized spelling of Dark One. What can I say... I'm just a little bit bad.

Fr Blaine Tog S D (male E/Mo) = "Father Blaine Tog of the Society of Dwayna." Blaine Tog is my general pseudonym, and I wanted to modify it a little for my healer, so I tacked "Father" onto the front. Unfortunatelly, thats more than a little bland, so I gave him a specific order.

Tara Vimes (female W/R): I like the name "Tara" and Vimes is the last name of a character from Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series (a series I highly reccommend).

Dante of Alighieri (a male Mesmer): Dante Alighieri was and awesomely cool writer, but "Dante Alighieri" was already taken.

The Lady of Pain (a female N/R): The Lady of Pain is a "character" from a D&D setting best described as the virtual hand of God (as she's quite literally the most powerful thing evar).

Well, Cross Blade is a name Ive used in RPGs for about 20 years. It first was my character in a game based on the graphic novels called "Elf Quest" and it followed me through D&D and just about every other paper and pencel rpg out there. then I started useing it for computer games and then fourms. unfourtantly it was unavailable inGW. so I made it my sur name(all my characters will have it for a last name, so if you see it, its probably me). the first name of my main Av is my fav. character from "Elf Quest"(Bearclaw is the father of the main Elf Quest character). my current seconed Av in named Cutter(the main Elf Quest character and son of Bearclaw)

My character's name is Naughty Doll. How I came up with it? Well, it sort of reflects the person I am, well kind of. I like excite in my life, I love doing fun and wild things. It's just the person I am and the first thing that popped in my head when creating my character's name was naughty. Doll symbolizes something cute and precious. I'm a little bit of both
