Yes please share ;-) We hope to make shiverpeaks this weekend with the coop missions...can you get to the southern end on foot or did they make them more common throughout the mountains?

Thank you in advance.

Those are prize-winning hogs, not your standard warthogs. They are for a quest (well, a quest of sorts -- if you round them all up and put them back into their holding pen, the farmer gives you a small monetary reward but no experience/skills/items etc), so you can't tame them. I think I saw warthogs in the Northlands in pre-Searing, though. I didn't take much notice, because I didn't fancy having a smelly pet...

Draven--Where do you get bears? That's my long-term goal, but I haven't seen any post-sear. I'm just at Lion's Arch at the moment, so I guessed that I'm just not far enough along yet.
Ardus Shadowmane, pleasure to meet you. You have actually passed the place where one could get a black bear in post sear. I obtained mine in Lonar's Pass which is a very hard area. We can do it together, my character name is Draven Nasir and I usually get on nights (East Coast, USA). Feel free to find me next time you are on friend.

Be prepared to die, alot. Taming of bear wont be hard. Getting to them, past lvl 24 mobs, will be. Oh, and if you see Wurm, you are dead.

Pets are strange creatures in a sense that they gain exp even when they are dead. I've leveled few pets up, and usually when I'm doing that, I skip comfort animal all together, and let it die in first fight. I've had pet gain a level from halfway across a zone several times.

Doing some quick calculations from those stats shown for pets, it seems each and every pet is the same at lvl 20, at least al and damage. There's two things which make bears and spiders bit better than rest of pets, namely their special attacks, which happen from time to time. Bears have Brutal Mauling, which seems to do about same amount of damage as regular attack, maybe bit more, and spiders occasionally poison their foes.

At the moment, I'm happy with my lvl 20 bear, although I havent had it with me on missions in a long time, as it tends to die extremely fast after certain point in the game. And can't even think of bringing it into Underworld of FoW.

I too had a warthog "Piglet" but I decided to delete my char so I could have a space if need be to make a new one.

Does anyone who has spiders have any screenies? I would like to see what those look like.

Well, I did it last night. Turned in my pet and went to Beacon's Perch where I got level 10 henchmen (and no pet!) to take on the level 24s of Lornar's. Surprisingly we managed to kill the early ones and move on, but before I could find the bear we got wiped. I ended up using sprint and leaving my henchmen as fodder to be chewed up and finally got to the bear, though not before getting wurm'd just before charming him the first time.

So are you sure they level up when they're dead? That would be a big help not having to keep res'ing him and then having him die in the middle of a fight and resetting my bar. I'd been wondering how to level him back up and thought I'd have to go solo level 8s or something.

about the warthogs:
there is a special trick if you want to get it out of the super secret(pre sear) location that is NOT north of the wall: when leaving town, think of a name. If it likes the name, it will be there, if not, it will be not.

Thats why my monks hog is called Buddha.
