You know I saw a completely female guild once. Since i play a fem char they asked me to join. I could have been in a guild with all women! But I was honest and refused.

Now I have to go into a monastery to get away from women
No, really, I'de rather play games with female players, being that they are less... Annoying than most male players. And atleast men pretending to be women have to play the role.

That is so true. I always ask for female characters to join us on the TS. When they don't I figure it is a male. (Well we ask males too...just to keep them in line and stop the "Leeroying") No biggie. I just want to type less and play more.

I tend to find woman play more MMO's then FPS's... Any comment on that?

Yes, Ending... as much as I hate to consider women gamers off topic or absurd, I'd also like to have uninhibited discourse (within certain boundaries, of course). I like being able to meander a little away from mechanics without risking ire.
As for FPS, it's like other traditionally male-dominated sports. Without encouragement, a lot of women will never consider the genre. Those who do are just like their male counterparts--some think they're great, others hate 'em. My problem is my learning curve in twitch games; I have to develop reflexive response because I'm just not fast enough. So it takes me a few sessions to get my groove on and I'm not very versatile vis-a-vis swapping out builds. And I think that's my problem because I'm a slow thinker, not because I'm a woman. Ironically, GW is helping me in this regard.
I liked Tribes a lot, CS when I played with some of my guy friends and was a bit more casual about it... was there one called Rogue Spear? If there was, I played that at a LAN cafe on lunch breaks. Fun stuff.

Ya definately, I have seen six of my female friends from Star Wars Galaxies and they were all rather good looking
Although i have only ever met one or two girls in real life that played games, pcs are nowhere near as widespread in this country as in most others :P

I like FPS ok, some get boring after a while and some involve some strategy and thinking. One that has scared the hell outta me is DOOM3 scared me to death. Doesn't help when your boyfriend comes up behind you and scares you as well.
That'd be kinda neat to make a GW cookbook. It would interesting to see what people would submit for it.

They actually did a study about thinking patterns of men and woman. I'm not sure how true it was since I heard it over the radio, but apparently men are suppose to be a fraction of a second faster then woman.
In other words, they act before thinking while woman take that extra second to think about things. LoL. =)
I'll see if I can find an articule somewhere. It was actually kind of neat to learn.

Yes, share, please!
I do believe there are physiological gender differences... it's just so hard sorting through the debunked theories. And it's also hard to figure out what's been hardwired into us and what's been "programmed," so to speak. Fascinating stuff, I agree!
For my personal liability in twitch games, I think I've done well learning to adapt my slower thinking by creating reflexive responses, which are very much hotkey dependent for me. I try to hotkey same things to the same keys for different games... DoTs, nukes, and heals, for ex. Thus, after a few years of this system, I'm fast at the base game right from the starting blocks, but may require a bit more time, patience, and practice for the intricacy of more challenging rounds (or more challenging players ).
No complaints so far, and I usually find myself running with a pretty demanding crowd, so no one has ever been shy about making me a better player if they see a deficiency. I really feel lucky in that regard. I would hate to be coddled if I could be better instead.
