In responce to one of the earlier posts that hitler was not religious...that is not the point who did he hate and wanted to destroy? Jews and Gays...and last i checked judaism(sp?) is a religion.

Actually, he was perfectly happy obliterating all non-Aryans. Also, Judaism is a nation as much as it is a religion.

Though I don't belive I ever heard the "Atlantis" part. While to my knowledge Hitler didn't adhear to a certain Church or Dogma he did have a 'religion' or sorts. And wasn't scared in the least to invoke biblical justifications for his actions.

Hitler had archeologists looking for it endlessly and everything, thats where he belived his blue eyed blond haired race came from. Well the point i was making is that this was a very strong belief that is very similar to a religion.

Yeah, but it sure as heck wasn't Christianity!

But, my point still stands: it was Hitler the man who was responsible for the Holocaust, not Hitler's religion, whatever it was.

In guildwars u play your character not yourself. Last i checked i did not see any Jesus statues in the game neither is he listed in the list of deities in the manual, so when i am in game i dont see a reason to be hearing about him. I am not attacking christianity or any other belief, if they want to recruit christians just recruit normally and then in tells ask if they are a christian and if not dont let em join.

Hitler listened to quacks too much. His astrologer told him to invade Russia in the damn winter, and you know what? He took the moronic advice. And now the world is a better place because of his stupidity

Actually he invaded in the Summer. Just not early enough to take Moscow before winter arrived in full force. Though it is questionable if the fall of Moscow would have precipitated the SU's fall.

yes but the original point was that RELIGION was responsible for Holocaust, and not christianity.

Hitler formed a religion through his actions, i never claimed it to be christianity.

Most Slavic peoples were part of the slaughter. And before we rewrite Nazism to suit the philosophical beliefs that were formed alongside the practical need, please remember that Jews were targetted first and mainly because there were many large commercial and property interests held by prominent Jewish men that would serve Hitler's interests better in the hands of his cronies. It was pragmatically brilliant. But whole family trees of non-Jewish Romanians were completely wiped out as were families of gypsies and other Baltic groups.

Sorry, should have rephrased it. He was fighting in Russia during the winter...
