Default How long to the first expansion or BIG update
IMO anet has 2 choices on how to update this game

1. Obviously expansion pack but that wont come out for atleast a year or 2 considering it just came out

2. Internet update which would be better since its free but probably not include alot of updated content

Whole new world and missions are needed for sure. 1 week to beat a game is wayyyy to short.

what are your thoughts about when and if a expansion is coming

where did you hear this?

dont get me started on pvp. i didn't buy this game so i could be bored to death running around a small map killing or being killed for no reward.

im asking about expansion

Actually..I believe the name Guild wars also comes from the game world's history.

And yes, Loviatar is correct..they are adding two areas this summer. The movie can be found on the Guild Wars website.

Boy oh boy - you should have researched the game you bought - because guild wars is advertised and sold as a competitive online game. Sorry to say that you bought something that is not what you wanted to buy.

... Or, he took his time.

Honestly, I wasn't exactly going at a casual place, but five days and it was pie. I swear, half the time I was waiting in town for my guildies to get online too.

Of course I guess going with half my party full of guildmates means I wouldn't have to put up with looking for/playing with PUGs, or dealing with henchmen. I can see how that could shave off a LOT of time.

i didn't finish every secondary mission nor will i ever because they are stupid and annoying. only the secondaries in the temple of ages will i do. and have done.

I don't know how you people come to these conclusions. Ask any hardcore PvPer in Guild Wars and ask them if this game was clearly focussed on PvP. The developers themselves have said that they would describe this as a "cooperative online multiplayer game". Also, you'll notice that the game bascially forces you to play through the PvE portion if you don't want to use a premade template character (which doesn't bother me because I'm not interested in PvP at all).

My personal view is that this game was designed firstly for the PvE crowd, with PvP content tacked on to the end-game to give some form of replay value to those who are interested in that sort of thing. And I'm not saying that as an insult or to demean Anet's efforts. Clearly they've put alot of work into balancing the skills for PvP. But, the PvE content really does take center stage as shown by the content availlable in comparison.

1 week wow I wish I had that kind of time on my hands. At this point I have been playing it since it came out, and I am close to beating it ... I did though first play a warrior for a week. Unfortunately I have maybe 1hr a day on weekdays to play PVP my friend.... that or play BF2
