I find that on my newer characters, my average level in later areas is going down. The only side-quests I do are the ones that offer skills, and they have to be skills that I like
Just because I'm a lower level in Kryta, does that make me a newb? Of course not!

There are just as many people who tagged along with a friend/guildmate and got to where they are at without knowing what they're doing.
In the end you still don't know if they're good or not, but at least the higher level person can take more damage =P

Exactly, these ppl can go on justifying all they want...
I like telling them to do the Ascension missions at level 1.

Yeah but if that's happening there's a very high chance they've already completed the game. Most people aren't rushed through the game their first time around =P
But yes, that is true, nothing wrong with high lvl tanks =P

I know that already. But I don't think spending that huge amount of time on quests that don't give you decent rewards are worth it.
Note: Got to all three of the Ascension missions with the monk, but only gained about 1 level doing Riverside, Sanctum, and clearing the areas to the missions. People that are level 20 going into the desert must have tons more hours than I do. My monk still only has 7 or 8 deaths, and I spent a bit of time pvping in Ascalon when I started it.
I'll check the hours of gameplay I have on it sometime tomorrow. You people should tell me about how many hours of gameplay it takes you to get to the desert.
