Reversal of fortune is one aspect on a warrior. you are wailing away on him and all you are doing is healing him... They like that alot. aegis is another. and heal party, mending, ... with 2 monks in a 8 party group you can pretty much make any member of your party almost invincible... If you see them getting attacked you focus on them... reserving some Smiting for your defense of course. the koreans are masters of this technique... when you see 3 warriors and 3 monks and ANYTHING else for the other two. your toast unless you know how to focus party attacking and healing power... Koreans use the spearhead technic and its effective. keep practicing... We took em before, but it is normally a long match...

Dying? Not sure, i've been playing for less then a month. Can't really tell what's happening. Oh and about Koreans beign better, the only ting I notice is that I have never seen a Korean henchmen team in tournaments. As for America, some seem to have lotsof time to waste, and giving free victories away...

Semi-bump. I want this on the front page for a while.
re: rats fleeing the ship, it's definitely obvious. While some of us are hardcore addicts and could stare at television static for weeks at a time... most of my BWE friends are gone. Maybe 1/8th remain. Even new friends since the week of 04/27, maybe half are gone. A month ago, I'd logon at any given time of the day and the list would be 90% online, now it's 3-5 people usually.
Of random missing people I know their AIM or one of the GW friends or guildies-- Does BlahBlahBlah still play? Did he stick me on ignore cause he thinks I'm an elitist jerk? "Nah, he's bored. He plays once in a while. He's playing [insert other game here]" What about SirBlah? "He quit. Gave me all his stuff, wiped his chars, and gave the account away."
Let's ponder some types of leavers:
BURNERS: 500+ hours already, playing 8+ hours a day, putting all other gaming (and most normal life activities) on hold. They've burnt out on it already. That's normal, it's a game's attention span / content life cycle... hyper-condensed. They might come back, if you get some new content before their A.D.D. brains totally forget the game existed. From what I can tell, this is why most PvE guys are already gone. There's nothing for it. It's the way of things.
COMPLAINERS: There's something they didn't like and it never got fixed. Game crashing, disconnects, lag being a the most serious forms. They are pissed, they won't come back for any reason. Content or gameplay complainers might come back, but how to notify them it's not like that anymore?
TASTERS: They tried it, they didn't like it. Probably tried to like it, just couldn't. Not their game. They won't be back for an update.
SHINYNEWBS: That's old, man. It's been out like two weeks. I'm done. HEY! Have you played [newgame]? And check out [newgame] it rocks, but I've been playing it for two days, so time to move on. They definitely won't be back.
FILLERS: Not my game, but there's nothing else out right now I'd rather play. Once [mygame] goes gold, I am out of here. Never to return.
NOTIMERS: Life occurs. I now have something better to do. Might be back, but it's not controlled by content or updates.
OUTCLASSERS: As it's been stated, you want to be competitive in PvP you need to work at it. HARD. Separating people by level isn't really a good way to do it, but it's not easy to separate by skill level - good players can fake being bad to play anywhere. Well, anyway, unless it's playbalanced to their liking they'll not be back. These guys are bored and frustrated and do drastic stuff like give away their stuff and rant anti-GW posts on forums.

I'm sad over my missing GW friends, because it gives the illusion the game is dying off. But look at the stream of noobage. if even 1/10th of these clueless monkeys becomes a useful player... I have doubts, being an elitist jerk, but time will tell. I don't think overall it's "dying" just yet.

GW's slowly dying. You can tell this by looking at your guild's roster, empty friends list, and xfire's gw spot.

Also. . . it's summer. A lot of the (again teens for all I know) people go on vacation. A lot. Well, around my area anyways. For instance, my guild has 3 people here in their houses. Plus, a lot of games fizzle out for awhile after the first month. Don't worry about it. There's always a boost at the beginning. About the korean thing (though I think its been ended several times) they have the same rep any every game. I say: "Don't worry about it." Whenever I'm in a group, and someone says "Oh no, they're Koreans" I say, "Meh, We'll beat them." Say the same thing when they say, "Oh No, Elite Group who's won it five-hundred times in a row."

This is your first and final warning: If there are any more sickening remarks and blanket accusations about Koreans being cheaters and hackers then this thread will be locked. I am sick and tired of people attaching such a horrible stigma to an entire group of people just because some of them happen to be unnaturally amazing at gaming. Typical westerner thinking at work.

You tell em. Any group that posts derogotory statments causes my monk to leave in quite a hurry or charga and dye all the while apoligizing for my fellow countrymen who sicken me and that I hope they won/t judge us all by the idiotic opinions of some.
This always leads my group to defeat as they stop fighting an argue with me or contradict me. One time we had a 20 miniute discussion going in the middel of a PvP tombs match with the koreans leaving 1 Ranger/Warrior with no res signet left alive so that we wouldn't be forced to leave.
I now PvP with those koreans reguarly as they speak english and actually I have more interesting conversations with them and my european friends as they seem a lot less n00bish.

Hahaha this is funny. First we had a thread about Europe being 'losers land' and now we have people calling the Koreans cheats cos they win.
Keep it up people, reading this kind of stuff is amusing, although kind of unsettling also.

However, if you take into account 2 things.
1. The technology in Korea is a heck of a lot less than in America and Europe, computer wise, and
2. Koreans do the exact same thing's that we do (Either have guild member pvp battles, teamspeak battles, or random group battles), and we get destroyed by them
I honestly think that Korean's do cheat. On one occasion I was attacking an enemy and literally none of my skills had their effect take place on the enemy. I'm not being racist, it's just an incredibly unfortunate thing that exists in the game.
On a side note, the 4 vs 4 arenas needs a HoH style thing, and we need to introduce 1v1 arenas.

What a load of bull.
1) Koreas average test scores are WAY higher than americas (they don't need to cheat their just smartenough to no that all attacking the same dude wont work and to come up with a stratagey) and as for technology wise almost 75% of middle class Korean housholds have regular access to a high speed internet connection.
2) Yes they have the exact same things as we do and our top guildes and even pick-up teams can beat them on a regular basis as proven by how much we have favor (i'm in america). I have played with korean PUGs though and they will spend 20-30 miniutes talking stratagey and builds and how to make our skill sets complament each other. Then they do this amazing thing called following thru with the strategy that we came up with (some thing that many americans csn't seem to do)
As for your skills not doing anything there are many builds and skills that can stop this. Ever heard of spellbreaker? Blackout? A monk healing at the same rate that you cause damage? Reversal of Fortune? and many others.

I don't know anything about korean players, but I can tell you this: you'll know when there's cheats available for GW, 'cause then eastern-european teams will start to win. A lot.
