I'll vote for 3, the xp grind, but only in pre-searing. I haven't felt the need to grind at all since moving to post.

#3, after you cap at lv 20. Before lv 20, the levels come quick, and everything is exciting. After lv 20, you just need skill points, and progress seems seems slower than a BM when you're constipated.

I agree with this. There should be more quests post-ascention that give only skill points. Honestly what am i going to do with another [holy rod, divine symbol, war hammer] when i already found a better weapon or focus.
Do i think that you need all the skills/items/runes unlocked to be competitve in PvP? No but it would be nice to have them unlocked. I would rather look at my character and say 'WOW!! i have 10 skill points left' instead of the 'wow i need to kill 100 more mobs in hopes of getting another SoC'. I captured all the ones i will need now i am just capping ones to finish off the primary and secondary class.
Skill points can not be traded so giving them out in excess would not be a problem that i can see.

The Only reason I see skill points being hard to get is it forces people to goto the underworld and fissure of Woe. 50k XP is a piece of cake there and can be gotten in an hour if you know how to put together a good team.

I must be an elite quantity. I actually play the game at a normal relaxed pace. My gear may not be superheroic yet, but its decent for 20th level, I never suffer for coin, and the items and skills you seem to crave are not game breaking if you don't possess them. Your builds on the other hand - may be.
As many have stated, the ability to find competent groups of players who can form coherent sentences much less engage in rational thought would be a primary concern at this time. They are few and far between.
The game originally had a very high quality crowd of players, but the recent influx from the state mental wards has had a deleterious effect upon the population as a whole.
Play accordingly,

is not the point in the game to have fun?
i have great fun soloing stuff that is supposed to kill me.
why? becouse its a challenge.
take it to the edge, see what u got..
and is not fun when ppl dont beleve you when you say "i was soloing this zone.."
another thing, when you solo bad mobs you learn how to beat them. this knowledge makes you a better pvp player since you have seen enemy skills in action, and know how to counter them.
it would be just plain stupid if it was not possible, if so i would quit this game.
the fun would be gone..

I hate the grind involved in trying to get the top notch weapons/runes.

The grind I dislike the most (ie hate) is navigating around whinners and idiots. Both in game and in RL, road rage morons with their blinders of hate that have no clue as to how lucky we all are for being alive and how absolutly wounderfull life can be both in game and in real life. So many people that are 'part of the herd' and don't pay enough attention to life to see whats going on right in front of them. So busy worrying about tomorrow and how much their little caged existance sucks, never realizing their true potential. I feel we all create our own perspective by either believing what we are told or finding out for ourselves whats real.
Focus on hate and you will find it, focus on love and you'll find that too. But if you focus on what is REAL and not what you were told is real then who knows what you'll find. Tis a journey very few take.

Definitely the group-forming grind. It is pretty darn hard to find enough decent people to do a mission on most days.

The gind I hated the most was the Jedi grind.....wrong game. This game has almost no grind at all. Only grind here is the one you choose to do.
Gold grind: Meh unless you buy stuff from other players kind of pointless IMO.
Item grind: Not a problem at all if your in a group/guild that knows how to share.
skill point grind: Another meh IMO you can only have 8 skills at once on your bar take a look at the skills you would even consider using and use your points on them. No need to use a skill point on something your never really going to use.

I don't really need to grind. On my character (primary character) and most beloved character...I've got I think about 270+ hours, I've got all the weapons I want, all the runes I want, the 15k armor. The elite skills that I don't have aren't usually a problem to get (and sometimes they're really FUN to get, going out with a fun group of guild members and exploring a part of the map I never went through to find a boss can be cool).
I've almost run out of things to do in the game, I've unlocked all the skills except for some elites for the warrior, necro and mesmer, on this one character...and I've still got 14 skill points left over. It's been really fun. Now I spend my days at...dare I say...THE LOST STRONGBOX. And then I usually go to Ascalon or Lion's Arch and give that loot away.
Now I've decided to go for my second set of 15k armor, so I'm lootin' the lost strongbox while bsin' with guild members through TS to get up the money.
The farming I hate most is just...farming for cash/loot to sell...just going out and doing runs killing things over and over again.
Then again you never need to do that unless you either A) Want to BUY a sigil, B) Want to buy the 60-75k armor, or C) Want to buy some superfantastic Superior Rune of Vigor because you can't for the love of God salvage one!
That's about it.

It's a tie between skill point grind and rune grind. Gold comes naturally while you're doing either of the two, so I don't mind it as much.

What in the world? There was a four? I guess I should have read the options, I didn't know we could expand to forum grind!
Yeah, reading through the same threads, and posting the same responses (or fighting every urge to post in them) gets annoying far beyond anything I encounter in-game.

Yeah I might vote 4 as well. Forum Grind: Reading through the same posts of people that say we're whining when everything is going as they like, but if it were changed, they would start bitching.
