The worst thing I've found about patch
Since I didn't feel like playing Tombs without my guild, I decided to go do some Arena to pass time, earn some faction. I had a 15 game win streak yesterday going, was hoping to do something like that today. Instead, I found the same thing in every group.
If you actually found a monk in the group, he wasn't there to heal. "No way d00d im a smite monk!"
So after finding no heals in about 10 battles, I decided to go to my other PvP character... a monk...
Let me say, it was very irritating... I had to keep calling targets because these people had no idea what was going on PvP... it was all "durr we have never played PvP before, but there are rewards now for faction with somebody, lets go make a premade pvp character and rush in!"
I mean, the patch will be awesome when I finally get to go play with my guild tonight, but man the arenas are terrible.
Maybe I'm just in a bad mood today...

yeah the arena's are gonna be filled up with a influx of pvp newbs (if you will). on a another note competition in the arena should be raised to a whole new level now that serious competitors actually have a reason to go arena.

yeah i have to say i might be one of those people for a while as i've only done pve up until now and as soon as i get home from work i was planning on going home to do some pvp.
However i do see this as being a good thing in the long run as it should raise the level of cometition maybe in some of these arenas as more and more people start pvping. I don't know just my thought

not really bagging on the newbs, just that i'm not gonna get all politically correct by referring to newbs as "inexperienced pvp players". technically new players are newbs anyway (you even use the term by claiming i was a noob once), so why can't i refer to them as such? i'm certainly not using it in a negative tone.

I was on this great team tonight in the random arena...had 10 wins in the random arena, plus another win in the team arena when we got "switched over". I called targets, we had a healing monk, and it was great. Very easy I might add

Well, I went and played a few games of PvP for the first time today, just to see what the deal was with the new rewards system, and how quickly you gain faction. It was quite fun. I feel I did pretty well, but I was annoyed too by the lack of target calling. Half the time I found myself calling targets myself, I'm a nuker, people should be telling me what to kill, not the other way around.

yeah maybe you are. can't tolerate new people and the lack of knowledge they will typically show when first starting? then maybe you should stick to your guild.
I have never played PvP or GvG and when I do try it out I'll be a n00b. Im a pure healer, but ill change up my skills to how ever the group as a whole needs me.

Even when I started PvP I knew what I was doing because I made sure to play through the PvE first.
I can't tolerate going into a PvP battle and having someone say "Whats calling targets?" I say if you haven't played through the PvE, at least to ascension, you shouldn't be wasting everyones time trying to earn some faction points in anywhere but Ascalon and Yak's bend.
