The only thing I'm dissapointed in is the syncing of dances and what not. Pulses...it doesn't work if you really try to do it with someone who's already started dancing 'eh? You have to both try a pulse at the same time, and then it will sync you. Otherwise it'll just wait 10 seconds and start or something.
Or am I doing something wrong?

Ummm what happened to the new areas? I have been eagerly awaiting exploring those... thought they were supposed to be out around the middle of this month. I'm not complaining, I think Anet rocks (even if I get very irritated with them hehehe), I am just wondering if I missed a press release or something....

Perhaps the new areas were given a lower priority in view of the hordes of PvP players threatening to leave(or already left) if no updates to decrease grind for PvPers appeared.

I say that your point of view is off because it tends to be rather obvious that ANet still thinks that this is both a PvE and PvP game. The PvP update is perfect for someone who's gone through the PvE once and then PvP's to finish unlocking the higher rewards.
I say that your numbers are off because all your calculations don't take into account the faction gained by killing your opponants.. So I have to ask what you were planning on doing? Run a griefing build until your enemies leave out of sheer boredom?
IF you re-run your numbers taking into account actually killing people, you would need to run them with a reward rate that is higher by at least 40%*, thats a pretty big difference. Now, figure in the fact that if your a PvP'er (you know, the type of person this patch is aimed at) that your going to be PvP'ing anyway and that the only difference now is that we have a reward system attached to it and you can plainly see that it totally sucks.
Oh wait.. I mean... Doesn't suck.
By no means is this an instantaneous fix, but, I'd say it shows completely what ArenaNet wants to do. They want PvP'ers to have something to work towards, an added layer to their game. They don't want PvP'ers to have everything immediately, they want us to have something to work towards. I'm perfectly happy with that, I don't complain about having unlocks in any other game, why should I start now?
*A 40% increase is based on killing 8 people, which would be the minimum for winning any full match, there are several instances where you would need to kill more than that to win.

in my humble opinion, this patch brought many good changes, EXCEPT that part where PvP characters now has the possibility to "make" the weapons upgrades... that means that a pvp character have asured the way to have, for example, a +30 hp grip, while the pve characters still have to play tons of time and pray to the gods to, maybe, find a +25/+26 hp grip. Same goes for all kinds of upgrades, specially with the current farming status. The same applies to the runes; in all the time im playing i still couldn't find even a major vigor, i had seen countless "golden armors" turning into minor runes, but now a pvp char can just "make" that rune. IMO this part of the patch throws the pve players to the trash can. Some ppl might just say "go and buy a sup vigor at the rune trader" but then the problem comes: how do u get so much gold if u don't hardcore farm?
Have anyone else tought about how this will affect the market?
Again, this is just my opinion.

First, they fixed rare (gold) armors giving minor runes, their now garunteed at least a major.
Second, there is really no advantage to using a PvE character in PvP play, and there shouldn't be. The only thing a PvE character can have that a PvP can is the Ascended or Obsidian armor, which only give them a different look. So if you want to have the same stuff as a PvP character, make one, unlock the max weapon mod you want, and there you are, balance is restored.
If you don't play PvP though... I have to ask, why are you worried about what they have in the first place?
As far as the PvE market I would say that this patch will help it alot. Alot of PvP'ers won't feel the need to farm PvE and flood the market with gold and such, in an attempt to get what they want for PvP. The fact that they can choose what they want to unlock will give them far greater success than anything they could be doing in PvE.

Any PvE'ers who say we got what we want and don't pay attention to the numbers being wrong, please think about this. When you say things like we get to unlock things doing something we like now. Remember you have had that privilege since day 1. Also it's like saying someone should be paid less than minimum wage if they are doing a job they enjoy doing - not exactly fair. Minimum wage represents how quickly you can grind a skill point in PvE in this analogy.
