The art of haggling

- This is real life too.

If the merchant has a set "price" it gives power to the buyer to haggle down or realize it's cheaper then you planning on paying and the merchant has to it and most likely realized it (when you jump at it) or just accept the price. If they tried to up deals off.

If the seller has to submit a price, then the merchant wins big, he will haggle you up to his target goal but if your 1st bid over his goal they tend to take or worst, work your price a notch or too higher giving you the impression it was too low.

The smart people are the sellers that get away with buyer naming the 1st price or the buyer getting a quote for the price.

In case if I have a buyer that tries to get me to name the price, if I get get it off a trader, I offer less then trader and if he doesn't take I go my merry way.

Speaking of guild recruiting, if anyone is really serious about PVP and GVG, recruiters would know better than to blindly invite people at towns. And what's with all the boasting about having a cape? 2k is chump change for anyone.

I can understand how some people encounter times where people claim having a Guild Hall then being asked what their rank is and reply with "we don't pvp", but QUIT USING CAPES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT!

This one guy at Droknar's kept spamming both local and trade channels recruiting randoms and ruining the district-wide mockery of one guy's selling silver dye for 3plat, I replied to him -Good guilds don't recruit in towns. But I'll bet you have an awesome cape nobody cares about- and won the favor of the Gods for keeping annoyance rate to a minimum in town.

for some reason though its a hit or miss ... when im my ranger or ele ... it seems hit or misss ... but when Im my monk ... it always pans out that LFM is looking for monk ... I join and see im there only one!

at least I know how to play one well ... (im my eyes anyways)

That is too mfunny ... Guild number 1 allstars is recruiting - we have guild hall, guild capes, website, and good leader! Join today! lol ... that kinda stuff ...
