Why do you post in the Sardelac Sanitarium?
This may be deemed more apropriate in the Sanitarium, since it is about it. If so, please move it.
I was curious about why the individuals who reguarly post in to Sanitarium(game ideas forum) do so.
Personally, it is my favorite board. I love thinking about how to tweak and improve games. I am actually working towards becoming a Game artist or level designer. I actually came up with an idea similar to the one A.net came up with to fix the PvE "grind" for PvP fans(Link)- not that I am claiming I had any influence, or was the only one with an idea similar. Kinda made me happy that I have at least a slightly similar way of thinking as someone there. Maybe one day I can work of A.net?
Anyhoo, so, why do why do you post there?

This is kinda weird question. I posted in there mainly in a vain attempt in relieving my right mouse finger. heh

Well, there seem to be several others besides myself that post there at least semi-regularly. I was more than appealing to them than people that post once or twice. I guess I wasn't as clear about that as I thought I was. Oops.

I post there regularly... and here is the problem with games in general: (danger... /waxphilosophy command enabled)
We are a very creative species. Everything inspires us to create, and these days we are a very stimulated species which inspires towards even more creation. Movies and books are best since we input vast amounts and then are prepared to output. Games are crippling towards creation though, since we become hooked on them and... they don't exactly stifle inspiration, no, they do inspire. But because games are interactive we're inputting and outputting at the same time. Our creativity is released on the game itself as opposed to on our new projects.
And some people just like to whine

I started posting about game improvements/suggestions when I played in the beta, since I knew the devs were listening and I wanted to help contribute to the development of a game that everyone could enjoy. Now, since I know that the devs are still listening, I continue to read and post suggestions, in hopes that they'll implement many of the wonderful suggestions that have been made (my favorites: auction house system ^^, a /favor, more emotes, personalized emotes).

I post there because I'm sure the devs check that board on a relatively regular basis. They like suggestions. I post there in all manner of threads I find worth posting under, if it's something I want to see implemented I post why. If it's something I think is a horrible idea I post why. That way people reading can see both the pros and the cons to a certain suggestion.
