I play on the american servers simply because that's where most of my friends play. however about 95% of the time i'm in the international zones these days.. It's always a shock to head back to an american zone of LA (and i turn off trade and local so very very quickly)

european server more polite, are you kidding me?
theres less people and procentual far more idiots (still less in total).

I switched from europe mostly because it got screwed in finding ANY group in the higher areas (by language sectiuons and less players).

theres just more, and more skilled, and more adult !!!, people on the american server.

You know why these Europeans are more friendly than Americans

they have a healthier diet. Just check out their Mediterranean Food Pyramid. Olive Oil is suppose to be good for you. It has its own section. Also, wine is included in the pyramid.

America is all about fast food hamburgers, pizza, hot dog, and etc. Then down it with beer or soda. Then straight to your computer and log on to GW. No wonder some Americans act like morons on GW. Bad diet = Unhappy = American, well some of them.

Let me see ... How very, very true. It's gotten so bad that I keep Local and Trade permanently muted unless I have a VERY good reason to listen to them. If I need a group for something I just start my own and ask for whispers for invites. This also has the pleasent side effect of creating better PUG's.

I cant stand the American servers, sometimes i feel like im the only nice person around everyone else is like "LFG YOU ****ERS, JOIN ME NOW!", but sometimes i find people who arnt total dorkwads... but seeing how i hardly ever play with people i normaly go in international districts and there only a few people there

last time i checked GW offers some weird "bork bork bork" language, seing how i cant stand some of the people, ive always thought about making a language switch... heh

Well this because people that are known gamers long ago adapted to english, I rather play in english that in my mother language.

That happens to (almost) all countries, germans that are gamers will stick to english districts because of the higher population (many countries dont even have their language represented and stick to english) since there is really no language barrier and people that started gaming likely have not picked up english as natural as gamers do and so stick to their language districts.

Moving on to the talent in Europe, my movement to European servers was documented because I hoped to sway people into joining these servers, show them the ropes, and the revolution of Favor through 3 international districts would be that much more interesting.

PS- Europe currently has Favor ;P

Thats nothing, I noticed about 3 guilds able to gain favor (I only remenber Rus Corp) and even a european lead PUG that taken HoH.

We are gaining favor more often, I so hope it leads to be a tie of Korean and Europe holding favor so ArenaNet drops the damn thing.

I hate to burst your bubble but america holds favor pretty much the same as Korea. you are probably in bed sleeping while we hod it though as it occurs in our eveining till late night.

PS like in my previous post i am glad when Europe get favor FoW and UW are great places to play and europe should not miss out on them

a) I have to go to bed
b) I have to go to university
c) my computer has mysterious breakdowns and I get kicked out of the game every other minute, whereas it is running fine the next morning (when Europe of course doesn't have the favor anymore)
d) my internet connection has a hic-up
e) I have to learn something stupid, go to bed and go to university all at the same time.

Who's bubble did you burst? You completely missed their point. They meant that if if Korea and Europe were the only ones that ever got favor, Anet would drop the whole WoW system.

It's getting worse in Europe too, though. I still haven't seen any bots, or heard any racial or sexist slurs, but tradespam is becoming a real problem, language is deteriorating, and we have no shortage of scammers & runners.

Anyway, I'm just curious - you guys who've been to servers on both side of the atlantic, have you noticed any difference in price-level?

Someone a bit further back in the thread noted the lack of skill on the EU servers atm.

It's damn true, i play in EU pugs less and less nowadays and stick to either my guild only or go to international to find some good people to play with. All the good EU players hang around there later on anyway

I suggest you play during european high-traffic hours with the kiddies and report back here with your generalizations.

I don't know if the Europe server has a better atmosphere than the American one but it's still far from great at times. I've seen plenty of people who are abusive, rude or just annoying. As someone who rushes people from Beacon's Perch to Droknar's Forge the number of scammers and abusive players I run into is incredible. That said there are plenty of good people as well but I think you're being a bit optomistic about some of the people on the European server.

Touchy touchy. The UK GMT is 0, and mine being -5. Now looking at my playing patterns, I'm awake until 7 to 8 in the morning, add 5 to those hours, and I go to bed at about 3pm for them. By my standards, those would be the hours kids would have already woken up and been ready or have been playing already for hours.

And report back I shall, tonight shall be my first night not just with one person and then we can further look at my "generalizations".
