Default Why do people buy dark/demonic remains

Occasionally, I see people in the Temple of Ages trade channel offering to buy dark and demonic remains. They don't offer much for them, but it does make me wonder why people would want them.

Does anyone know of uses for these in game?

I believe that you can get Ecto from demonic remains on VERY rare occasions using the expert salvage kit.

I tried salvaging 15 demonic remains a while back and got no ecto. So if that is true, it happens /very/ rarely (or I got unlucky).

Well, one, it could be why people buy rubies and sapphires. Get them cheap before there actually becomes a use and they are in demand.

And two... I have heard there is a use for them...

People buy dark/denomic remains for cheap and try to sell them to ignorant newbies for cash. After running through both types with 2 expert salvage kits each, I ended up with alot of glittering dust that can be worth more than the remains (dark remains=60g or 15 piles of glittering dust).

Rubies and Sappires are for crafting at rare material traders.

I've got like 60 or 70 piles of each. I've been holding onto them in hopes of future uses for them. I would really enjoy seeing a collector come up soon. If not, I've been wasting 2 slots in my inventory.
