This saying comes from a World of Warcraft videol. It's about this party who sit there planning a raid out for about 10 minutes, then right before they finish planning it out, a member of their guild rushes into the frey, leaving his party members no choice but to follow suit. When he runs in, he screams "LEEEEEERRROOOOYYYYYY JJJJJEEENNNNKKKKINS!!". That's where that phrase comes from....yup.

I wish people would stop posting this explanation. The WoW Leeroy Jinkins thing is only popular among WoW communities. All searches for that in Yahoo or Google turn up Leroy Jenkins the evangalist or the singer Leroy Jenkins.

It's a good explaination. Google solves every question. I googled Leroy Jenkins and found it.

On the first page of the results for Leroy Jenkins, it's the 9th result found.

If you can't Google something succesfully...

But to do that you would have to know the exact spelling. According to everyone I have ever seen it is spelled something along the lines of "LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOY JEEEEENKINS!!!!"

Besides, is there any need to post a useless, non-explanitory answer to something that has, infact, already been indepthly answered by another person?

It's always good to have a second opinion and if at first you don't succeed, try another way of spelling it.

Oh, and when I Googled "Leeroy Jenkins" it asked me if I meant "Leroy Jenkins". It couldn't be any easier. The second link is to the WoW video anyways.

the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO filter also worked once for a webpage spammed here selling gold for rl cash. That was the first place I saw it and when mentioning it in a post I deleted the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO part out thinking that it was the actual website.

www.RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO.com ?

edit... had to delete out a few of the "expletives" I used since the filter didn't catch some of the nastier ones... what the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO is that?

edit: I do belive that the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO is used instead of stars so that it proves an incredible inconvenience for people who have nasty tongues (or fingers)... If I ****in typed out all my ****in words and it just looked like this ****in **** then I prolly wouldn't give a ****in **** about any of it. And I would continue along my ****ed path of ****ousness.

however if I RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin have to deal with RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO every time I RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin use a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO then I learn quickly not to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO around.

Isn't it supposed to be read as [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE] [GO RED ENGINE]?

RED ENGINE GORED doesn't make much sense. Maybe "go red engine" refers to something?

And what is that link for? It's just says Red the color of life.

I googled it, and it seems like it might be a sort of "all your base" type reference:

http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1170196

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A823448

About some guy saying "go you big red fire engine", apparently it makes people feel good inside, so instead of seeing a bunch of bleeped out expletives they read that phrase that makes them feel better.

It's an automatic replacement for the word "c" and "o" and "c" and "k." That whole thing often ends in a Y, much to the dismay of anyone who's not using it in a dirty way. As for what it means...No clue!
