While those certainly are things that I would like, I tried to keep my personal agenda out of this. There are many issues that have nothing to do with PvE vs PvP balance that are not being attended to. As I said, if you want examples step right into the suggestion forum.

There will always be optimists and there will always be Pessimists. Some one that posts USEFULL posts (not just plain rants) on forums, generally falls somewhere in between. As they usually post like ...
This annoys me....
Heres why .....
But if we do this .....
It may fix it because .....
Keep this in mind when posting

not trying to be rude but shouldn't a-net have caught this exploits long ago, I mean a-net should have notice that people can screw up their armros for their own advantage during last time they patch up guild wars.

I think details about exploits SHOULD be made available so people who get banned and say they had no clue it was an exploit have no excuse because of previous examples of exploits.

Obviously not all details, like how to go about exploiting it. That should be left out and I'm sure the person who writes the notes would agree.

They shouldn't say how they did it, they should simply say what the exploit did (made you invincible, melted your enemy's brain, etc. )

From quickly browsing the comments by Anet, it gives the sense they've bitten off more then they can chew. In that case, why not ask for help? My train of thought is currently in UI's (user interface's). They deal with the user mechanics of the game. They range from new nav pannels to macros, but they are done by the community. Hate to say it, but look at WoW. UI's are an incouraged, and important part of the game.
If Anet doesn't have time for the little things, let the community step in. For once in a game's existence - the community is willing to step in and help. Yet this game doesn't encourage it. What harm comes in having outsourced UI's? Besides one hell of a cluttered screen, of course! :P
People spend the time to make videos of places you can nerf ... they need to be put to work!
Lastly, it's the little things that make the game. Lack of Officer chat, or a friend's list online message - these two things actually equal invisible walls in my irritation. It's always the little things ... There was actually a study on this, and it turns out the little things bug us far more then big things. When some huge negative event happens, we can prepare for it - but when we're bombarded with little annoyances we can't handle the stress. For example, we can prepare for the lag, invisible walls, and idiots - but when little things like your NPC's not remembering your layout preferace, it drives you nuts!

We did not slip in nerfs. We did not add new features. We didn't take the opp to include a teaser for Chapter 2 or an in-game product placement for Dr. Pepper, either.
Actually, the update had a small glitch and a few new characters founds themselves running around in their skivvies. So we fixed, that, too.
Wanted to put this here in its own post so it didn't get lost in the whining shuffle.

When I was on Arena-Net's site the other day they had a big old advertisment for skilled techs to "Join the Team" for Guild Wars.
I have no real skills in that department(code writing), but, they could hire me as a Operations Manager. I am pretty good at delegating and getting the job done. I would NOT be one of the "Suits" that everyone would run around acting like they are doing something when I walk in the room. I am a firm believer in a mid-afternoon power nap. But then I am sure they have it under control there. I'll bet it is a fun place to work most of the time.
EDIT: Yes this makes perfect sense

I was thinking volunteer, that's what becomes the basis of community. Just look around you at GWG, an easy 90% of the people here rock (compared to the 1% in game). Imagine even a fraction of the community stepping in to help, think of the posibilities. For example, www.curse-gaming.com/ - check out the WoW UI's, it proves my point UI's can rock the world

I'm pretty proud that we are, in fact, and are taking the time to make sure that we do so in six languages, too! If someone wants the development notes on every patch, well, unfortunately we're not going to be able to provide those. If we close an exploit and you wonder "Does it affect me?" then maybe we all ought to step back and take another look at you, huh?
We post honestly about updates, but details are not provided for a wealth of reasons. It would be super if, instead of our seeing the glass has half empty, we all saw it as half full. This is the first company I know of that is so studious about trying to outline every area in which updates or patches are made, and to call out the specifics of what is being altered. I've seen games that have been out a year that don't have a single "patch note" page.
So, in short, we're reporting what we can, and when we can, and will attempt to do that into the future as well.
It's a vicious cycle, and it's sort of sad, because we really do have a plan in mind, and a sure and certain path we're going to follow. I am afraid that at a certain point, a few players thought "He who shouts loudest will get the most attention."
If we ever gave the impression that the complainers were the only ones getting served, trust me, that's not the case. We don't get intimidated, and we don't pander.
To everything, there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.

Actually, the Blizzard Warcraft III updater would give you a very detailed report about changes to the game. It would say things like "Mana burn changed from 100/200/300 to 50/100/150" (Skills had three levels in that game, except for "Ultimates", the high level skill). This info was very useful, so that you didn't end up in game and see "hey, the skill I was using got nerfed, when did that happen?". That's a good bit different from an "exploit" but it still makes a difference.
To be fair, there were also unreported changes that slipped through too, like changing Healing Wards' HP from 200 to 5 to make them easier to kill.

I agree... and I didn't have much gold before this stuff started, and now it seems my PvE characters will never be useful for PvE because everything has gotten so expensive, and I can't make any money.
It seems a little off topic, but it's still relevant to updates.

you are doing something wrong .
i have no idea what it is but i have never sold anything more expensive than a silver dye (to a trader never person) for 600 or furs for 450+
i am not to Riverside yet but i always have an extra plat or 2 or 3 at the end of the day which is not more than 1-3 hours
closing on 250 plat next week
dont buy anything you dont NEED
dont waste salvage money unless you need the inventory space to continue
i have never had even a 1 k item to my name let alont a 250 k item to sell
i havent noticed the nerf at all
actually things started dropping better for me AFTER the patch evened things out so some spots were not getting more than their fair share (and mine less)
