Umm, that would be the Euro lag. Change servers and see for yourself, its funny to think A.net might not consider the problems there to be of the utmost urgency.

I think Aradia Ashkal is saying that Anet is working on fixing the Euro lag and that there isn't really any major concern more important than that lag problem. So people should stop complaining about not getting updates every week or two when there are more important issues at hand.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, Aradia)

One time, they updated the game around 12:30 am EST. Right now, it's 8:30 EST. After a couple more hours I will assume there is no patch. Don't go and soil your pants until then

You are right. Im not entirly sure where the confusion came from though because i said Besides the Euro lag there arent any major issues and they had made a staement that they are working on them and will have it fixed as fast as they can. They certianly did not say theyd have it done by today so Im not sure why anyone would expect it to be and be pissed that its not. Maybe if they had not even aknowledged it I would understand but they can only do so much.
Anet isnt just some entiy whos soul meaning is to work 24 hrs a day trying to do everything every fan asks for. They are made up of real people with real lives outside of making weekly updates to please players. I think we should all be hella more thankful for all that they do do. I dont know very mny devs who post of fansites and interact with players.
To me it just sounds like the old saying "give people an inch and they want a mile"

No, go and soil your pants, prove how immature your acting. I'm very happy to have a development team that listens to players comments, implements some of the good ones and is VERY responsive in general with regards to technical issues. Do certain things fall through the cracks on occasion? Certainly, no way to avoid it, especially when your dealing with thousands of things each day. They are pretty good though with the ones that get caught. I don't know about any of you, but in general, 5pm rolls around, I'm looking to go home and forget about work. Given that I've recieved tech support responses (non-generic) from an actual human being at 6:46PM, color me impressed.

While I would love to see the updated 15k tormentors set, I'm a patient person and am pleased with all the devs have been doing with the game, they've responded to most every major issue out there, they work hard and put out good results on a (relatively) regular basis.
That's good enough for me.

I haven't had any issues with the frequency of the updates, just with the quality. So, be patient, updates are surely to come, they recently stopped doing weekly patches and are concentrating on rolling them into larger ones. Kind, of defeats the purpose of the almighty steaming capabilities, but it seems fine, at least we aren't getting 200 mb updates, or anythnig crazy like that!
Whether they fix all the PvP and PvE issues, well, we have no guarantees on that, which is my biggest concern with the game. But that's off-topic...

They can fix the trade spam problem by adding in an auction house (something that has been requested since the early beta days), they can fix the pick up group problem by allowing people looking for a group to go to a profession specific list from which group leaders can choose which players they want, and most skills might be balanced, but the ones that aren't balanced are destroying the PvP half of the game.
Now, why don't you do something useful like not telling me ways to avoid a problem but instead start pointing out problems and finding ways to fix them.

Request for next update....
Take 200,000 gold out of my account and give me a 15-28 gold +20% >50% half moon of tenguslaying (preferebly with dmg+300% vs tengu)
No seriously...fix the European lag and fix what needs fixing.
I left my home territory soon after getting the game so i wouldn't have to go international all the time to be with my American allies.
I went over to the european servers to see if they had better loot (lol) and the lag was insane.
I was like "WTF?!!!11". No lag upon leaving...go back and it's chaos.
A battle consists of a long pause followed by streams of simultaneous numbers and instant death. Not fun.
Fix their lag...poor bastages.

Fixing issues that people just dont like about the game doesnt even compare. You can play the game just fine. Now if they do listen and address those issues like they have in the past I think it is something above and beyond what they have to do. I havent seen very many games in the past that have taken what the fans have said to heart as well as Anet has. If they arent doing it fast enough for you thats your issue not theirs.

I play this game for fun as, I'm sure, you do as well. So if there is anything in the game that is detrimental to the fun that a large amount of players get out of the game, then it is a serious problem that needs to fixed in a timely manner.
