i'd never pay anyone to do a mission for me. i'd rather find a pug or do it with henchies. i've only paid for a droknar's run and more often times now you can find people that will give free runs.

12.5K for Dunes? Wow, now I see where the money's at.

Seriously, that's such a scam its almost ludicrous. 12K for a mission people can sleep walk through? My guild group and I spent the last five minutes of Dunes playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with each other on the altar while the Ghostly Hero did that voodoo he does so well.

P.S. Considering the standard rate for Droknar's runs is around 4-5K, and seems even to be trending downwards lately, your customers are either nonexistent, or supreme dunces who haven't been to Beacon's Perch long enough to see the pricing.

I can't see what is wrong with using the pass. It's not more of a challenge than ascension, only better. This is not the game telling you what to do. This is you having this idea of going there. And while the designers could just turn it off, they in fact did not. Instead they put more malice into this thing than Sauron in all his rings. They show you that they don't like what you are trying. they make you miserable and suffer on each step. but still, it can be done; the designers gave you a fighting chance. without exploits, without tons of cash from other characters. And if you don't like my buying the armor afterwards then get a fresh character around level 18, never mule him anything, don't beg other people to donate you stuff. Then PM me, meet me at Beacon's Pearch and we have a not so short walk outside. I'll WALK you there, no fee involved. If we're in Droknar you will simply smile at all those Lvl12 guys because you realize they missed on hell of a ride and you didn't. I'm still two missions away from ascension but I don't hink they are nearly that much fun. On my next character I will do the same thing. Going to Droknar via the Lornar before Ascension.
Then of course I met some supposedly pro clan players today, who thought they would simply rush their latest lvl17 member over the pass by means of their lvl20 characters. I helped them, I warned them, they did not believe me and turned around after 25 minutes. Since then Lornar is in my opinion the greatest gift to all the real old school players who remember just how hard games used to be.

To those telling us the exploit is in dead low-lvls getting resurrected automatically on the port from area to area - what if they would stay alive? Just stay outside of Beacon's Perch and wait for the runner to complete his job? Just stay at the beginning of Dreadnought's (might be difficult because the mobs are jam packed around the portal) and at the beginning of Snake Dance? You're also getting ported alive - the dying isn't necessary, it's just to enjoy the view (a good runner won't need any meatshields).

I don't consider it an exploit (haven't been runned, made it through the missions) and won't mind when people use it. It's cheesy to go to the low-lvl arenas with Droknar's armor and Elite skills from the areas around but the random arenas are too random to call it unfair. Next time there's one of those people on your team. Just have fun.

I hope you meant Thirsty River instead, and even then no mission is worth more than 1k (and only if you're desperate I suppose, I personally would never pay). Dunes can be done with a group of level 10s.

I faught my way down through lornars to rankor to forge with my first character in a well-coordinated group. When I got to beacons with my second character I really, really didn't have the patience to do it again.

A very friendly w/m called Lord Bleyz offered the solution in a 3k rush (back when they were going for up to 10k) So I took it, and made some friends on the way.

TR was the intended.

Dunes is part of the ascension package... mostly due to it being so utterly boring that it alone is not worth nearly any amount.

To a question asked earlier:

Rushing Ice Dome is impossible. Period. Therefore you need to hitch a ride at Ice Caves to make the Citadel from Droknars via starting at Iron Mines.

I took my ascended, well-equipped Wa char to Beacon's last night, and advertised for a party to FIGHT, not run thru Lornars. Just for the challenge of it. I explained to the team that assembled that it was very hard, took a long time, expect DP, etc. Everyone said: "Yeah, right on, lets do it." Nevertheless, after the first group of birds, one person runs back into Beacon's because he had -15 DP. Then, after we hit first wurms, two people quit. WTH? Man, I miss people who can actually PLAY games....

PS: So I did it from the other direction with the lvl 20 henchies. At least they don't quit.

Ice Dome I rushed through easily. The impossible part is in Frozen Forest just before you get to Copperhammer. Perseverance paid out though, and my 8th level warrior got his Dragon armor.

I must have been lucky, he only charged 3k me upon arrival at Draknor's Forge.

He had a person stay at the portal just in case he was about to die.
pretty smart.

I get a real kick out of ruining business for everyone charging 5k when my partner and I come through Perch for 5+, up to 15ish free runs a day. We get some decent income from donations, but that's not at all a reason for running it. Mostly it's for the joy of racing one another, helping people, and of course out of spite for all of you greedy bastards who charge insane amounts to simply walk somewhere.

I will personally pay 25-30k for someone to run me to Droknar's Forge, and I will pay 15k up front.

Lasherdragon, I know you from the game and here, so I trust any rec you make.

That's the best news I've heard to date, maybe the runners are stopping or finding easier loot for time spent and less hassles or getting ripped off. DOWN WITH RUNNERS.

Any Europeans desiring a run can message me. I have ran many Euros before.

I have lowered my fare to 5k in lieu of recent shortfalls in pricing across the game.
