I imagine that would also make an impressive number of people even more upset. Droknar's runs is probably the most profitable way to make money, like PieXags said though "It's a Warrior game". It's rediculous.

Even better yet, they give Frost Wurms Wild Blow and create pockets of them at all of the bottle neck areas.

Okay, you say bots. That's one situation. Here's another. Somone posts a video or a method, effective ways to make money in one particular area. That area becomes flooded with traffic, but wait, these are actual people rallying up enemies to annihilate. They make good money, rinse and repeat (See: Farming).
There are a large majority of people who actually work for their money. ArenaNet bans botters on a daily basis so to say that bots are the sole reason for nerfs is rediculous.

Bots go out and collect money/drops from chests/wreckage/etc. Why do you think they added the MONSTERS outside seekers passage? If bots could just go out and kill them they would've put a brick wall there instead of some mobs. It's not mobs that's making them nerf everything, if it was...
Mind telling me why those mobs outside gates of kryta used to all drop simply mediocre drops that you could make good money on, but it took a long...LONG time, and now they almost literally drop nothing? Bots didn't farm outside gates of kryta I'd guarantee it, if they could they'd go elsewhere where better drops were. But they nerfed it anyway, without a point. They aren't nerfing EVERYTHING because of bots. They've only nerfed several wreckage/drop runs that bots take.
I've gone and started a thread in Sardelac Sanitarium board, a petition for peoples to sign to see how many people we can get to have our drops back. If PvP people can fight in the same arena every day why the hell can't we fight the same monsters every day?!

I work damn hard for my money, i make 12-17k per hour just in farming. i didnt say bots were the sole purpose. i was just saying botters are most the reason and people who do them more than 30 times an hour are the rest of the problem.
When people abuse these farming areas, it sometimes makes it hard to tell the difference between a bot and a player. say there are many late night players that play all night(there are many people who do.), and all they do is the same thing over.. and over.. and over... starts lookin like a bot.
They can find out where everyone of our characters has been.
also... last line....

Yeah, not all of us have all the time in the world to farm and waste countless hours of our lives trying to make some quick Platinum.
And,

There are ways to tell a bot from a person. Want to know why there aren't bots at thunderhead keep getting reported? The Lost Strongbox is there and any bot should be able to raid the hell out of that chest. It's because when you walk up to it you get murdered by loads of mobs.
We're fighting the mobs by ourself, we're not running around picking up wreckage like a bot, we're actually fighting for our money. And anyone just by watching our walking patters can tell we're not bots. There's no reason to nerf low lvl places that took forever to get money anyways, if the only reason is bots. They're nerfing it because they think it helped out the "economy" when it fact it screwed it over. Now you've got people selling things high, and the few people who got rich quick buying them at those prices, and so long as the few rich people keep buying high people will keep selling high, while the rest of us are screwed. Not to mention the last bit of fun I got out of this game is now gone.

Why bother using your intelligence to come up with an excellent skillset to take on several enemies and gain the rewards when you can just run chests.

But a problem can arise because the same areas that you might play as a farmer, even repetitively (which is ok) are also the areas that are targeted by bots (which is not ok).

I seriously doubt a bot can farm whole groups of griffons and minotaurs. This is just Anet swinging their stupid nerf bat again. Farming is ok so they say... I find that really hard to believe with all the nerfs recently.
If supposedly what Gaile said is their "official" stance then their sneaky input of nerfs into recent patches with no note accompanying them is a great way to make the community happy.

Please use proper grammar if you're going to criticize others. Thanks.
Witchblade, I like it. A pack of twelve wurms spawns, the first Wild Blows, the second meteors, then the rest meteor shower. Ouch!

See that quote further pushes my point---bots DON'T farm like we do, they "farm" single paths for CHESTS, they do not fight off mobs. Their is no reason to nerf drops by mobs if they want to stop bots. To stop bots all you have to do is ban accounts and move chests/wreckage because bots don't actually FIGHT groups like we farmers do. They just run around, pick up loot that's already there, repeat.
We FIGHT for our loot.
I think Gaile needs to learn what we mean when we say "farm", we don't mean raid the hell out of chests. (no offense to gaile)
Honestly, bots aren't responsible for the unfathomable drop decrease in mobs, they just do that to piss us off or something.

I think you all underestimating how complex Bot code has become. Randomization of pathing, mob destruction, complicated situational responses, random chatter and reply's to whispers, these are all things well within the abilities of todays programmers.
It is simply unrealistic to think you will be able to properly identify a good bot from a real player. You may stop version 2.2 of the bot, but 2.3 will throw you for a loop and these people will go to version 239.22 if need be because this is the game they want to play. And if you think the people who create these bots use them on their "Real" account are dreaming. So "They will get banned and have to buy the game again" response will not cut it as a way to stop botting.
The way to stop botting is to make it arbitrary to do. If you flood the market with so much money that having an enormous bank roll means nothing because everyone has the money they need or an easy way to get it, then the bots cease to be anything more than a personal battle between programmers Bot Coder vs ANet. The bot is no longer effecting the game or it's economy, they are not able to sell Gold for real life money, and ANet can take it's time finding and banning the botters that remain. All the while, the rest of the community goes through drastic economic change, difficult at first to deal with but soon will reach an equalibrium because you have removed the ability for outside code to realy effect it. If the averge joe can make 10k per day of game play and a bot can earn 100k, are you improving anything by changeing the numbers to 1k for average joe and 10k for bots? Are the bots stopped? Is their effect on the economy hindered?
To put a more "Real World" example together, imagine a country with a below average economy. Where the gov officials are diverting funds and aid intended for the general public into their own pockets, exploiting the system for their own gain. You stop sending aid or buying products from the country and it's the public that suffers, the officials find a new way to skim their cash, and things do not really change. However, if you flood the country with jobs for the average Joe, then the gov looses it's strangle on the economy. Eventualy the gov will be forced into major change because it becomes more fruitfull to their greed to help the upcoming wealth within it's own country instead of trying to keep finding ways to force the public back into poverty.
Obviously the example is full of holes and flaw, but I think it makes the point. I know this will not translate properly into a game world, but it's intended to introduce other economic solutions into this discusion, other than simply removing the ability to make money.

Lets put it this way, I'd rather put up with some bots and be able to benefit at least enough to get what I need in the game by farming than to have 0 drops after 20 mobs.
Also, with the system we have right now...it actually BENEFITS those using bots more so than destroys them. What are bots? Inhuman little players that run around and have whatever you need them to do basically, they don't get pissed about anything ever, they can keep going for a long long time. Right now, someone who can keep going over and over and over and over and over will benefit more from this "little or no drops" than a normal person. I farmed for about 3 hours today...or tried to find a good spot, and made 1k. Someone botting could've been farming that whole time in one massive spot and made more money than me simply because they wouldn't have had to be present. So right now it's...bots can still get things, humans can't hardly. I don't mind having to compete with a bot so much as watch him go about doing what I can't sit here and do all day.

Go just outside of Amnoon Oasis, and kill everyone in the area near the, like the Scarabs. Today I found in 1 run with a full party of 6 others 1 rare and 1 blue item, and they were both not far from Max Dmg.

Wow...a blue item...I never thought I'd see the day when I could go out, kill all the scarabs and scorpions outside amnoon and get...a blue item. Sweet. That right there along with the "rare" one might be like...what, 80 gold?
