Just recently I just noticed silver dye jump up to 7k (Someone was talking in the chat) I was surprised it jumped so damn high in a day.

So I went to the closest Dye Trader and there was no black dye to buy!

At first I thought it was a glitch but it's actually gone?

I wasn't saddened by this but surprised it happened at all you can only find it off drops.. Or buy it from other players..

But now that you can't buy it from the vendor (who was too expensive to begin with) that means there are going to be a LOT of people selling them at stupid amounts, more than they should even be more than 15k?

Maybe, maybe not. What are your opinions on this?

Also silver dye being 7k is ridiculous.

Dye shouldn't be the a big seller item. I mean BLUE bye is 600g a peice at a trader..

We should be able to change our color of out armor for the fun of it not spend most of our cash we could be using to buy weapons or that 15k armor that some of us want so bad..

the trader has amount of dye , i think it depends on how many ppl sell to it?

yes I agree, i noticed it too and I'm angry and yet some what happy (since i have 10 silver dye in storage

but its still ridiculus

I noticed this today as well! I went to the trader earlier to sell a black die I got from a drop. I was very excited when the traders screen to buy it was 17+K. So I click the Sell tab and ask for quote it was only 900 g? I sold it. Tonight I saw a ton of messages selling silver die 6K, I thought to myself that's what black's been going for! So I went to the trader hoping something went wrong and black was dirt cheap. That's when I noticed NO BLACK! I went to another dye trader and the same was there! Now I will keep my black drops!

Prices have been going screwy all over the place- At one point YELLOW dye was 1k. That was screwed up.

ya black die is all out and silver is 7K.. yup, im going to be raking in the doe when i sell all my stuff

however purple dye was only 200gp.. good think i always buy the cheap stuff

well theres a reason for that, in japan or korea (one or the other) yellow is the color of honor and im guessing it was a special day so plenty of ppl bought yellow dye, I read about a guy who bought 100 + yellow dye

The markets are different on every server so what people do in korea won't effect prices in america or europe.

Until the traders start offering prices players are willing to sell for, their supply is just going to keep slowly getting used up until there's little to no *anything* left to buy from NPCs. Seriously, who's going to bother selling dye to the trader when you buy silver dye for 7 platinum and sell to the trader for 800 gold, or to a player for 1.5 - 2 platinum?

I don't know whether you have noticed this, but there are A LOT of korean and other asian players on american servers! just go to perdition rock or riverside province and you'll notice all the asian players talking in their own language!

I've noticed the outrageous dye prices. I'm glad I never buy from players or traders. I find all the dye I need provided I only bother to dye Droknar's or 15k armor.

The reason why the trader is out is because no one sells to black dye to it. People always think they can get more money by selling to other people.

But since no one sells any to the trader, it was only a matter of time until the trader no longer had any.

This is kind of trippy...shit, there goes my plan to sell my Black Dye. Oh well -- since it's out, I'm sure I could find someone to buy it. And don't worry, it won't be some outrageous price, either. Last I saw, it sold for 7k...so, I'll sell it at around 4.5-5k, depending on how much I need. I will never charge more than 6k for it, though, and I will never over-exceed the trader. I like to give people what they need, so, I always cut prices.

I'm a nice guy like that.

The last I checked Black Dye was going for 15+k from trader, so I thought "screw that", now you guys are saying its all gone? lol. I have only been playing GW for just over a month, & dye prices have only gone up since the begining which makes sense if no-one is selling it to the trader. But as it has already been pionted out, why sell to a trader for 900gp, when a player will happily pay 2-3k for same item? The devs need to address this issue so that the dye trader offers a realistic price. This is also true for weapons although not to such an extreme extent.

The rediculos prices on silver and black are agreat chance for anyone how finds these dyes to become rich fast - i was fighting for scraps for soooo long untill u found a black dye it was like striking oil, two more and i can retire.....

the NPC was selling black dye for 1k yesterday.......thats why its out of stock
