You're not missing out on anything if you have already played through the pve once. And for the people who don't care about the pve at all... what does it matter if they miss everything? All they want to do is get to level 20 as fast as possible so they can unlock some good skills and be competitive in pvp.

It was done by my Guildmate, LuLu. Level 1-20 in under 6 hours, (5 hours, 20 min to be exact.) We ran him through because it was his second character and it's pointless to spend 100'ish hours doing missions to ascend a second time just to unlock a decent pallet (40+ skills) for another dual class PvP character.
This story is indeed true, he actually ascended at lvl 3 by wand dancing with the mirror self and casting empathy.
Yes, you may not have those skills at ascension, but you can go back at lvl 20 and do all those quests oh so much faster. It's really time saving if you've already played through the game and explored all the areas/done all the missions/quests and don't want to do them ALL again while spending the time to upgrade at the citys, yada yada yada.
We're working on another project, which no doubt will shock and astound the community at how such a low level can get there. Hopefully you'll find out within the next couple weeks.

You don't even need to ascend, you can walk to beacon's perch and down through lornar's pass, and into the south shiverpeaks missions that you can complete to get to fire island. Could probably get there with a lvl 2/3...

I'm guessing it has something to do with going to Fissure of Woe or the Underworld, since after Ascension, that is all there is left as far as the 'veteran' areas are concerned...
Even if you've been through the game once, its ok to be babysat so to speak but to rush through that fast, what kind of appreciation for new classes do you get doing that? None, none whatsoever. You can gauge a classes strengths and weaknesses best by actually playing the character and levelling up, but then again there are those that don't care and are pure PvP, then fine, they can go make a PvP character and be level 20 right off the bat, earn the skills and runes in PvE with another character that they have to level up.
Personally, I hope the devs find a way to stop this sort of super-fast-leveling, sure its ok for secondary characters, but you cannot honestly sit here and say to everyone here that there are not first time players, that have friends who have ascended already, who just want to breeze through the game in a snap because they're used to having everything thanks to cheat codes or just used to having an upper hand at something...
Just an opinion as always, but bluntly true, because surely there IS one of those types out there...

I'd have to agree with Bast. No one is forced to play with a low level player, so why would anyone care how someone got to a particular point in the game. I've gotten to Frost Gate trying to do all the quests and missions (the only quest I have right now is Althea's Ashes...don't know if I'll ever finish that one), but I'm one of those who enjoy the journey. There are probably those who, like my husband, aren't interested in the journey....just how fast they can get there. We don't all have to be the same or like the same things, but we should tolerate other's differences even if we don't agree with their way of thinking.

its not a bug and never was a bug. what you saw was a char with a long name. when ever a char with a long name has a level of 10 or higher the second number usually goes missing. so you see a Level 2 in amoon, but in reality its a level 20 char with a name that takes up too much space. I have seen this many many times.

I don't think it's possible. My ranger has about 90k of xp and she's only lvl 18.

They changed what ascension meant. Before, it would automatically make you level 20. Now it gives you 50k exp.

She considers it to be a duty of every person who purchases GuildWars to go through PvE with every new profession they want to explore. She expects and demands everyone to play the game Her way. She doesn't recognize that some people don't actualy like most of the missions and doesn't respect their opinion. She cannot accept the fact that some people find the missions poorly written and badly scripted - like some disney family movie that only small kids can watch.
What is worse - she cannot seem to combrehend that for some people GW isn't everything in life - and wasting time on skillgrind to prepare to enjoy GvG with friends is a horrible prospect!
Everyone must bow down to Gaile... err ...Adaria's playing style.
I have some news for your Adaria.
You are a Griefer.

Um.... Illusion of Weakness is 100% pointless you lose ABC health and you gain ABC health. It would make sence if you lose ABC health and you gain ABCD health but you lose and gain the same amount so its like nothing happened

I hate griefers, and making me do missions or making me wait ages for a faction update is a form of griefing.
