I've got almost every skill in the game and the only one i notably had a problem with capping was Migraine. As mentioned several times above it takes alot of rund thorugh the mission to get the boss to spawn. Took me 18 tries, and I never deserted a group when we got to where he was supposed to be, that's just spoiling it for people trying to finish the mission. Cappers who leave are incredibly selfish, especially on the longer runs such as Mineral Springs and Perdition rock.
My $0.02.
Also, http://www.xennon.co.uk/eliteskills is very helpful.

This was actually easy (just did it). You go smiting(11+4),
protection(10+1), divine(10+1) and use balthazar's aura plus balthazar's
spirit; together with symbol of wrath and smite hex. I'm a mo/ra, so I
brought along dodge (5 second sprint). You wait till the mob starts to
clump together, hit dodge, and zoom right into the middle of them.
You then drop balthazar's aura, symbol of wrath, and smite the hex on
you. Just about everything is 80% dead in just a few seconds; and your
henchmen can come help you. The healer boss just can't keep up with
healing everyone... Balthazar's Aura has to be one of the most powerful
kills in the game; it owns mobs faster than a fire elementalist's meteor, etc.
The trick is to get them pre-clumped; just as they start to clump together
you hit dodge and join them for the party. Since you're the "monk", the
mob doesn't bother to try and spread out -- and it gets owned.

It was a serious pain in the ass and it took a lot of tries.
As for the most tedious one nowadays since none of them are difficult: Probably a tie between Feast of Corruption and anything in Abaddon's, Ring of Fire, Hell's Precipice, or Frozen Forest. Capping Water Trident is a pain in my ass also: the boss is always there when I don't need him and never there when I do.
Luckily I never have to do it again since I am not going to make another PVE character until the next chapter (if I haven't moved on by then) and have everything unlocked finally. Actually, I might not even then; faction farming and unspent skill points ftw.

Oh no, when the old system was still used, Echo was way harder than Power Block. Power block just required you to walk back into the area a thousand tiems, then use a slow-casting spell. Echo was horrid. To quote myself ():

One of the following things would happen, always:
- The mob dies to the Jade Bows right next to them;
- The mob dies to your henchies before casting Echo;
- The mob dies to the Ether Seal;
- The mob dies even before you arrive, to god-knows-what;
- You die because you try to get the mob away from the Jades and the Ether tower;
- You die because you ignore the jades and run towards the mob as soon as possible, hoping to catch an early Echo.
- The mob does not even spawn.

Isn't this kind of hypocritical?
I think every elite with an indefinite spawn point is hard, in the sense that you can never find your boss. I swear the game cheats. It recognizes your classes so it purposely never spawns the boss you're looking for. It takes hours and hours of respawns just to get the boss you want to spawn. At least, it feels that way for me...

Blah. I think mine had to be Shield of Judgement. First of all, walking into the Mineral Springs with just a hench party is bad. Secondly, as soon as you walk in, if you aren't careful you get nailed by the 2 groups of Tengu's grunting at you. After you die, (not if, AFTER), they camp the spawn point. That's a giant pain in the ass to begin with. Now, you have to hope that the monk boss spawns in one of the first of the 6. I, with my luck, had to get up to group 6...killing all the others along the way and laughing at the Ice Golem and its pitiful dmg (why the hell a lvl 5 or so enemy is in the area is beyond me). Anyway, I get to the monk boss and he casts it...and down we go with each attack. Easily one of the most annoying battles ever for me.

Shield of Deflection and Migraine are the hardest to get. The rest are pretty easy if your team is skilled. Those 2 skills rely on 90% luck..

I capped FoC with henchmen. No great accomplishment, but I had NO IDEA what a loooong process that would be. I ended up having to take a lunch break about 3/4th way through good old Snake Dance. I say "good old" because I had been in that zone quite alot getting collector items and other caps, usually with henchies. Anyways, the hardest part was right before the zone to DD, but with a 60%DP I made it up there and did the cap. I also didn't research enough that it was a worm... what a shocker. (great moments in noobness? )
Anyways, I had to add a sad/funny story of my mate going to cap it (from warcamp! Lucky!).. getting there and not having a cap sig. /doh

(Quote modified because I like reading English, no offense. >.>)
From someone with UAS, "Feast of Corruption" is one of the easiest skills to grab, save the time involved. Not to mention the multiple other skills along the way you can snag as well!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...hots/gw055.jpg
RoF skills aren't nearly as annoying as some since you can avoid both seals with hench and just hit the cut scene. It might take a few (10+ >.>) spawns for the desired skill, but you'll get it eventually.
Abaddon's with hench is a pain because if the monk boss spawns you have to spend 15 minutes killing it. Hench really do need interrupts! It's more time consuming than anything, but at least I'll never have to do the mission again!
Mineral Springs is one of my more favorite areas. I havn't been there recently without having the "Defending Droknar" quest, but I do hope the new *Spoiler* Titan spawns *Spoiler* were perm. Avicara get boring after awhile, and hench just think the chicken men are laughable.

OMG I did that too! Fought all the way there with only 4 hench, killed the boss and then realized I forgot to put the cap sig in my bar. Total F*ing Disbelief.
Like I said, it builds character.

The Coldstones get the cookie for the most annoying cap ever.
My story: I took 7 henchies out to capture Quick Shot. I started clearing the Rock, and saw Maxine (damn her black heart) over yonder. Dropping spirits for me like bread crumbs, it was great. So I followed her, she led me to some mobs, and kept going. Then she did it again. Third time she did it, she got away.
So OK, no problem... I'll head her off at the pass. I mean, I'm a Ranger, and I can track people, right? I know which way she's going, right? Nope... no Maxine. I double back, no Maxine. I circle around (kill a few mobs) and no Maxine. Grrrr.
So me and the 7 henchies eliminated every single living being on that island. We killed them all. Genocide style. No Maxine.
I'm starting to get pissy. I figure I'll just capture "Charge!" and go home, but then I get an idea. I use my SoC. No bosses. I walk about 50 paces that-a-way. Use SoC. No bosses. I repeat this a few times and by god... Quick Shot.
SOMETHING HAD KILLED MAXINE!! BEFORE I COULD!!! And from the looks of it, from where her corpse was, whatever killed her did it about 5 minutes after I last saw her!!!
I have no idea what killed her, but there was her corpse, plain as day, wedged between a ramp and a boulder. Dead.
Coldstone hunters take note.
