[QUOTE=lord_shar]NP, but there's no way an Underground River even compares to an Underground Sea Also, each of those multi-lands run about $20-$50 apiece.
yeah i sold my 4 underground seas at the last prerelease for 200USD for the set..i quit playing after that i have played one game with my rat deck...which equaled pain... it earned me a pro point at the last regional. 3 rd turn rat patron 4th turn win with the jitte...its alwasy fun

Oh btw...if you play chaos and need a deck that shuts the game down in a very interesting way send me a message or ask about it.

This combo is quite rofl because i have yet to see any deck without enchantment removal.
Edit: i noticed that you mentioned it, but Pristine is Darksteel (by then, EVERYONE had enchant removal)

i started magic when ice age deck first came out and played for maybe 6-8 months, moved to a new state and sold all my cards (about 2001) for 350 bucks...... with this thread i feel like that guy could turn around and sell my cards for 2 grand or so nowadays..... of course i cant remember any of the good cards i had or which ones were even good. But i know i musta had some decent stuff with over 1k cards from ice-age to mirage to whatever deck had survival of the fittest. Magic was the first thing that poped in my head when i started GW.

I used to play MtG... been a while since I played with any consitency. I think I stopped playing after Weatherlight... or maybe Mirage, can't remember.
I had (or still have, its in my room somewhere) a blue deck that I just loved. It wasn't amazing, and it wasn't a counter-spell deck, but it could definitely catch people off guard. It was based around 2 cards: Lord of Atlantis and Phantasmal Terrain. All of my creatures, save the Lord of Atlantis, were Summon Merfolk of some sort. The Lord of Atlantis, for those unfamiliar with the card, gave all Merfolk creatures +1/+1 and islandwalk. Using a Phantasmal Terrain, I changed one of my opponents lands to an island, allowing my horde of merfolk to run wild, unblocked and unscathed. Barring the loss of my Lord or my Phantasmal Terrain too quickly, I often managed to bring down decks in 3-5 turns, buffing up my Merfolk with Sunken City (all blue creatures get +1/+1) and making my cheap creatures (mostly 1 or 2 mana with 1 or 2 power) into unblockable 3 or 4 power mer-men.
It had its flaws, and was easily countered (kill the Lord, disenchant the Phantasmal), but boy was it fun to drop opponents within 5 turns. Good times, good times...

I've still got a few decks from right before 6th edition. I never really had the money to get the really good cards, or even to buy the packs I wanted, so I never really had good decks. I think I did finally end up with a straight burn deck that was fairly hard to stop. Had to have counters or land destruction to stop it, or do it better than me. Mwahahaha!

the reason GW and MtG is similar is b/c they are both all about balance. earily days of Mtg was way over powered and crazy. we all know power 9 and if you don't then.......w/e. it evolved and is what it is today. been playing since 96. started with ice age and mirage.
wish i still had my force of wills

I still play occasionally. My favorite combos would have to be...
My black deck - I do Mortal Combat (if you have 20 or more creatures in your graveyard at end of turn, you win the game) + Buried Alive (put 3 cards into your graveyard) + a lot of cycling cards. Just cycle through them until you get a lot in your graveyard and then you win. Only sucks v. red mainly, since most of the reds I play are fast DD decks.
My blue deck - All my friends hate this one. I have 25 counterspells in here (including 4 spelljacks) along with 17 lands. 2 Treacheries, 2 Confiscates, 3 Turnabouts, 2 Somnophores. And then Meloku The Clouded Mirror (one of the new cards from Champions of Kamigawa). Look them up for what they do. Needless to say, I don't really need creatures.

Drop the confiscates for bribery I did nothing better than taking a creature directly from your opponents library to use against him for only five mana
