yes it seems to show up more in presear but in the time you take to get 1 or 2 in presear i will have made twice as much just having fun
I hate black dyes, I've been playing since the beta's and I have never EVER even seen one drop, and I play allot.
As for cash, I just do late game missions, Sorrows Furnace is good for a few K.

a good way i found to make money was to go to port sledge and farm fro grawl necklaces. 5 intricate grawl necklaces u can get that almsot per run, will get you a max dmg req 9, 15% dmg whiel enchanted (apply psn is an enchant so is congure flame) clean ascalon bow for them. those used to sell for 1-2k in ascalon depending on the buyer. i used to be able to make around 20k per day doign that. and lvl'd and earned skill pts in the process. now you can buy keys and farm the chests there too. have sold some good stuff from there for even more profit

Talking play and you'll get luckier

I was always envious of other players who had much more money than I did.

My main character that I love and play is Minooshka Katnikov Mo/R with her pet boar Shmookypoo. I play how I like and I never once farmed. (I ran ppl a few times for free and for tips. Got lucky at times too.)

As I played (My playing style consists of barely advancing through the game by repeating missions and helping newer players with quests i already finnished and getting to places I've been too before)
I was later swamped by gifts of money and offerings as well as guild invitations by leader who had *eventually* become succesfull in guild wars.

I said: ''thank you' (of course) , I'm in a guild guild (with 20 close members that recruit only one player a week ) and I got tons of friends in the process.

Might sound corney but I to good ppl. I just recently (yesterday) went to SF (1st time) and went on a farming trip with some random people.
Guess what I got 1st shot?

The Yakslapper
I was really amazed I got it first shot!

Sold it for 15k (Doesn't bother me) and 6 random gold sundering (moderate to near perfect) weapons that I then distributed to my guildies.

I'm hoping that when they get items they'll offer me some too ...

I tried farming once, didn't enjoy it; the rewards in gameplay terms are far too low for what you recieve.

I bored myself to death farming and doing the marhans chest run just to get my 15k armour, had 3k left went to lions arch and turned it into a million in 10 hours gameplay time.

I spotted a guy selling a low level fire staff no where near max for 1k, it had upon it a hale head +30, I purchased it and salvaged the +30 (luckily) and sold for 50k within 2 minutes.

Searched for other players spamming items which weren't max damage but had great mods like +4-5 insightful heads good vamp strings sundering 10/10s and max or near max health mods. Nobody else would purchase them as they were not max damage, and here you can make serious cash with a lotta luck from the salvage kit!!

S/F kinda killed it with so many green items. But I have a storage and character running around with completley max heads, wrappings, shafts, hilts, pommels etc... When the green fever dies off (maybe it will maybe it won't?) I have 40 items worth between 25k and 100k each.

Bump into me in game ( to the OP only!! lol) and maybe I will give you the 3k so you have the same chance I did. Remeber never sell an Item for it's absolute maximum value.. Knock 25% off and instant sell.. It's all about turnover.. Good luck!!
