There are stories of ignorance, lack of empathy, and "mine's bigger than yours" here. But few acknowlege that too often, they were noobs being laughed at by images of themselves.

Oh so very true Phineas. How about some more personal noob stories guys instead of "OMFG this guy was SUCH a n00b let me tell you how he didn't listen to me" stories. C'mon now... I know ya got em... Heck I do, read page 6

Yet another noob moment. On Sunday I was doing PUG PvP trying to get to the HoH. Playing a mesmer I joined this one team with 4 warriors (way too much) and we proceeded to fight the unworthy ghosts to gain entrance. It took us like 10 minutes to kill the first monk and we were like "Oh no... what a waste of time." Still, no one dropped and we got into the PvP and somehow everything just clicked. When someone called a target, all 4 of us warriors would be on him and it would be obvious our spellcasters were hitting him. The two monks basically kept each other healed. We won the first UW battle. Then we did the one with alot of teams, and we ended up winning that one easily too, beating a guild team in the finale. We even win the third match where you have to hold the altar vs. 2 other teams with 6 minutes left.
At this point I'm starting to feel a bit RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOy. So the next map comes up, and not a single person knew what the hell to do. You had to steal some relic or something repeatedly. Worse than that, our opponent was Marvel Superheros who had been holding the Hall all that morning. Owned isn't even the right word. I think we were attacking them, but they just kept getting the relics. Oh well... life's a lesson. I still don't get that map.
EDIT: WTF? TEST:
The pilot flies the airplane from the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOpit.
LOL

maybe you should spend more time using your e-penis with your e-girlfriend then trying to measure everyone else's.

<Chuckle> Well said Arturo02! You can share a E-Beer with me anytime!
EDIT: I guess I should add my latest n00b moment in history. Last night I was in a PUG. A decent one too I might add. We were doing Dragon's Lair. One person dropped after he got his skill cap but the others stayed in the game. While we were planning our attack for Glint the Leader was letting EVERYONE know that Physical Damage ONLY. She asked me what Wand I had I said I have 3 and one is a Holy Rod Only...NO MAGIC. Just max damage! So as we were S L O W L Y killing Glint I was running low on mana from healing. I switch to my staff because I recharge faster with it. I totally forgot that it was a MAGIC staff. They all start telling me: "Dood you are healing Her..." For like 3 minutes. I wasn't reading the chat...I was So Busy Healing I stopped trying to read. Plus I have the resolution set so high that the fonts are real small. I finally notice that I was n00bing out and switch back to the Holy Rod.
Oh...and we killed that big old beast too. Took about 15 mins.

Ok, this one, i hope, is good
I've played this game now for around 2 months, finished a Mesmer and now on my way to do whith a Monk ( but this is not a story about monks )
4-5 days ago i had a "shopping day", buying and selling several items.
The next day i was trying to buy a Major Vigor rune and realize i couldn't put any quantity but 0.
"Odd, whats happening?" I thought. After several atempts and apologies to the seller i couldn't buy that item.
A few later i tryed to sell a item and i couldn't .
Contacted support asap.
And they are fast, but they couldn't help me that much, and after a whole evening fighting with my graphic card, another player just tell me the solution when i finally gave up and entered the game just for another check.
¿had you gold on you? (Yeah , i've gold, but it is usually in the storage )
<LAUGHS PLEASE>

Take a screwdriver and pop that Windows key out. I'm serious. You can always stick it back in or just use the other key if you need it.

So as soon as the mission starts, I run around and try to gather up as many enemies at possible so we can take them down all at once, and the st00pid monks are screaming "wait!" the whole time. What whinegers, would you like some cheese with that? I was all liek "a good monk can solo tons of mobs on his own, and there are 3 of you along with a l33t w4rrior, so stfu!" After we finally start fighting, I died like 5 times, what a bunch of carppy monks, couldn't even keep a **W/MO** alive!
Afterwards, they keep spamming "my energy is blah". Like, stfu! nobody cares what ur nrg is, so I go running off to finish the mission, and all of sudden all of them are like "fark this", and leave the mission. So it turns out it wasn't just a group of n00bs, but also griefers. Hope none of you ever has problems like this.

My N00b moment
1. I saved up a bunch of money to get my monk ran to droks back when people actually charged and it was actually hard to get a free run. I was pretty proud of my 9 plat I had saved up. So anyways, I go there, buy the chest peice, and am broke for about a week. Then, buy a couple of other peices with loans from guildies. Finally, I go to buy the head and foot peices. I buy them both, and I was like "Hey let me salvage my old peices to get those runes or some parchments." So I salvage...damn no rune...oh well minor heal and prot who cares...oh shit for shit. I frickin salvaged the 60 AR peices i just crafted and got...8 feathers After that I was like screw monking...played my death necromancer and got him from LA to past that one stupid mission with the crystals where my monk was stuck

The Mission: Right of Fire
I was helping two Guild-Mates do the mission. We had all done it before and were not looking forward to doing it again as it is a very long mission and not easy at some points. Guild-Mate 1# was the only healing monk in the group so he had his hands full. Everything started off good but when we got to the first Tower the other W/Mo besides myself died... Note that we had a Mo/W that was tanking everything and two casters that stood inside the Tower's range. We killed the tower and the W/Mo says: WTF I didnt get any heals in that fight!! Thinking little of it we kept going..We get to the Ettin's and as we are fighting we noticed that the W/Mo wasn't fighting... Now he and myself were the only Warriors.
We said: What are you doing?
He Replied: Well I didn't get healed so I'm not going to help
......Needs less to say the mission is hard and long enough without that kind of stuff.
Another time...I was in the UW and saw that a E/Wo had a Fiery Dragon Sword...I thought maybe he was just showing off what he had but no....What was his weapon. And he rushed into every fight and before we got out of the starting area he had a 50% Something Death Penalty...

Here's what I just experienced last night. My wife had gone to bed, so I was just wandering the towns looking to help others out with missions. I ended up in a group headed for Frost Gate. In addition to my necro, we had two warriors, another necro and two monks. One monk was the leader and we immediately noticed that he was level 8 and the rest of us were 13-15.
Upon entering the mission, one of the warriors dropped out and the leader had to go afk. After waiting for five minutes, the rest of us decided to head out and he would simply have to catch up if he returned. Since I seemed to be the only one who knew the mission, I took the lead. Halfway through, the leader caught up with us and started asking if we were close to finishing because his mom was "freaking out". I told him we were halfway and kept going. The next few minutes were filled with him going afk or rushing in and dieing. I lost track of how many times we resurrected him.
We finally get to the last part where you have to use the gear lever to operate the three gate mechanisms and of course, our illustrious leader is afk again. The first two mechanisms are triggered and we look towards the third and final one. Being that there is a rather large group there, our warrior fell for the first time. I fell next and our monk and other necro fell trying to hold things together.
Well, right about that time our fearless leader shows up. We tell him what has happened and he gives us the good news. "I don't have rez."
What?
I will loosely quote one of our group. "You're a monk. You don't have rez? Is that possible?"
"i dont no how dun hav it. i'll finish it myself." He then runs into and falls to the first Stone Summit he sees. My only hope is that he learns for next time. A monk with no rez.....

When My warrior was level 17 or so, I wanted to get him to ToA. So, I join a runner's group: 500 gold. The runner was a W/R. I beat him there.
