I love the UW solo build!
Why? Becuase it recreates that pre-searing expirience; I can just walk around by myself and go where I want and do what I want to without some arrogant pug leader screaming his brains out.
I can read the forum and talk to guild mates while I wait for my health and energy to recharge.
I get to help lower prices on Ecto!
I get to pick up a large asortment off swords and try them out, just like in pre-searing!
What do you love about the UW solo build? (I'm not asking for you to state why you don't like it or to make a giant rant about how prices on ecto are going down or up blah blah blah)

I agree with some of that. If you die, its no ones fault but your own haha. Can't bitch about a monk not doing his job or a warrior over agroing.

and the majority of us using a solo build have played the team game 2, 3 4+ times already...and guess what we've realized? The rest of you aren't any good at this game(for the most part...not directly attacking anyone)..we'd rather explore solo or farm solo or do ANYTHING solo than get another incompetent pug. We also HAVE to join a team to do the missions, so we're still playing the team aspect of the game.
I don't use the UW solo build..I use a slight variation of that build using a couple of my mesmer skills..but since it's close enough I'll comment. I like the build because it gives me the freedom to enter the world without having to grab the henchmen or sifting through the morons, jackoffs, incompetants, etc etc etc. I can get a friend running the UW build(or a variation of) and go off and explore the majority of the world just the two of us. It also allows me to flood ascalon and LA with free weapons/upgrades

hey next time you go take a N/M or M/N with you he can cast BiP, mending, healing breeze, and bals aura (or just about anything you need him too if he stays at the edge of his aggro range he will not aggro any mobs if you ahve engaged them first. and basically the 2 of you can fly through UW twice as fast together.
i just did this last night with a guldmate. did 2 runs and smoked it.
just a thoguht for next time

Yeah but not in the UW. In the UW, it's a racing game. Whomever can get to the reaper first and accept all the quests wins!

I do understand it's a team game, but, I use the henchies 75% of the time if not more, due to the steep learning curve of the game that so many refuse to believe exists.
I also don't have to worry about the henchies as much as I do the vast majority of people you can and do pick up in pugs, who are awful to say the least.
As you can see, most of my "team" are not humans, so I choose to take the "team" element out of the game, of course unless it is with guildies, or friends who I know I can count on.
Yes. please people, mind your own buisness, we will play the game the way we want.

I love it because I WILL get fissure armor for my monk a goal previously I just laughed at. Only 15 more ectos to go.......
I love it because a normal group of 8 needs to follow a strict recipe in order to kill 2 aatxes at a time(OMG...who aggroed the 3rd you noobs..)
With this build I can gather 6-7 bulls and 2 groups of squids at the same time and have at them. It's funny....in a twisted sort of way....:-)
I love it even more when people say I'm ruining the game's economy. It makes me feel important!! I know it's not only me....THERE ARE THOUSANTS of us out there..... give me a break.
I love it because i got to play a build in this game so powerfull, that it will require Anet's nerf bat to set it straight. Oh yeah...it's coming.
I love it because the 'Day After' the nerf bat swings there'll be dozens...errr...THOUSANTS of solo monks out of a job and trying to join pugs as a real monk. /shudder
I love it the best though because even though it was created for the UW, it works wonders in other places where the drops (other than ecto now...) don't suck as much. In fact if it wasn't for ecto and fissure armor I would never enter UW with it.

I don't waste hours of my time trying to find a pug who doesn't know how to kill/aggro aaxtes or any other creature down there.
I don't have to deal with griefers in uw that purposely aggro huge mobs.
It's less stressful from a monks eyes then having to heal warriors that don't know what they're doing or try to keep a life sacrificing necro alive or do both at the same time.
It's a quick way to get a few skill points, a hell of alot quicker then going through and doing many bonus missions or even farming lower level mobs. It's also quicker then gaining faction and unlocking through arena play....can't always have a guild group going into tombs 24/7 right?
I've unlocked 50+ skills that I needed within the past 24 hours that I couldn't have gotten so quickly otherwise.

I love it because I got 13 new elite skills in 2 days ( man all u do is stand there and look at the exp points rise into the sky)
I love it because it takes you 15 minutes to earn 60k
Its fun because it requires you no thinking... (lol.... that is the most important)
And its fun because you belong to this great community which farms all night and at day time visit the forums and scream that Anet should nerf those builds,

No way, that is when I will retreat to my guild hall for some quality time with some little elementarista.

I like it because not only is it cool, but it's cool in a way cool way.
It's pretty nice when the only thing I have to complain about is that sometimes I can't aggro everything at once because I get surrounded or stuck.
I like finding ecto and being like "Sweet, I just found one of these earlier, this is cool!" (I have almost enough for the FOW vest part...that's the hardest part to get, and FoW armor is cool!)
The Mobs are cool, but I'm even cooler because I can kill many of them at once without coming close to dying...and I think everytime I kill them I become a little bit cooler.
I know what cool is people, trust me when I say that the UW solo build is beyond cool.

I'm surprised. With all of the people who said they hated or disliked morrowind, there is still a majority of solos.

I won't....and I'm sure the majority of other solo monks won't....I'll be spending my time coming up with another solo build. I will never again do any part of this game other than missions with a group.

some other reason why it is cool/fun
you can go afk for 2 hours and come back to see the same monsters are still attacking you unsucessfully.
You can laugh at the invici aataxes and wonder if you could copy their build.
You can read an entire book while soloing UW.
You can prepare for your FoW solo build once the time comes.
You actully can kill the spider without making that stupid ranger mad who was trying to capture it.
And you can actully talk in forums about how great Soloing UW is

Yes. It is a team game, however can it not also be a single player game in a multi-player enviro. if the user chooses that to be the way he wishes to play the game?
