At Which point i will edit the first post with the results, i will re-iterize in a new last post. and tomorrow create a new thread with headlining results...

any other ideas to broadcoast the winning vote through forum let me know!!

Maybe you should start a new vote on meeting times?... Guildwars Guru seems to have people using it from all countries in the world.. so some meeting times would be good, or maybe a day of the week..?

sorry this really fell hard on its face. I really kept the ball on when staying current with votes, but as far as advertising it, i was kinda at a loss for ideas. As for meeting spot, in international. didnt specify it should be {International District 1}.

Dont want to be a complainer, but due to GwG mods/creater not paying attention or helping this idea, there was no real "officialness" to it, and the instigation of this idea being put into use, stopped dead in the water.

oh well. i tried. Can only do so much eh? sorry to all who really wanted this to happen!

Im very suprised Guildwars Guru havnt supported you and this idea.

Maybe they are uber selfish and would rather you didnt meet at all... they must want peeps to spend less time in guildwars and more time on their site.

its a good idea, Maybe if you start a new thread... "The Official Guildwars Guru Fan based Meeting place and times"

Announce in your first post how it all came to be... suggest some meeting times and edit the post later as people show more interest, and give you better ideas when they would like to meet.

You could also provide more of a reason for people to meet.... maybe offer prizes (only small) for rock paper scissors contests held at these times. give people a reason, other than to meet Guru's , to gather.

if your thread is laid out well and is really popular then Guru might Sticky it for you.

if not..

I know loads of players who prefer gwonline .. if Guru doesnt want to help, maybe another fan-site would realise its potential and take the idea further.

ya. i thought by now this thread would be stickied. but meh!?

Prizes and games at the GwG meeting place would be a great idea AND incentive to get people there, however, i am not rich. Even if only small prizes were given out at certain times, it would stack up and id go broke the first day!

Ideas like that are also the reason i wanted GwG staff involved. Not only to carry this idea into actual use, but also to support it and its ideas. i am not making a new thread, this itself was so much work, yet was fruitless. I am a fulltime student AND i work, so this was a huge time sacrifice on my part. I cant afford to do that again. Like i said without GwG staff help, this idea might fall on its face, just like it did. lol

I'm kinda new, but...did you contact the mods? Is this actually official, or did you make it up yourself? If you had gotten mod/admin support beforehand, as in actually contacting the mods/admins, this might have gone along smoother. As it is, I don't see enough support to do anything with it. Also, most people are out actually playing the game rather than standing around...you might want to set up a party time or somesuch, like that Syko Ale party a little bit back. If nothing else, contact everyone who posted in this thread and plan a get-together.

Savio. Good point. Nope i didnt contact any mods before or after this idea. Why? 2 reasons:: 1 this wasnt originally my idea, and i simply just took the flag to spearhead this whole thing:: 2 i dont/didnt know who any of the mods were so i didnt really know how to get in contact with them outside of what they see in forum threads...

oh well. at least this thread is staying bumpd..lol

To contact a mod, scroll down on the main forum page until you see View Forum Leaders. That is where you should go for problems, flames, love notes, etc.

As for Ice Tooth Cave internation d1, I went there and saw a few guilds speaking in French or something. It needs a more significant GwG population there before it can be considered a meeting place.

When I'm on I'm usually out hunting and not spending much time in town. Towns seem filled with people dancing, talking silly trash, and lecturing people. So I just grab the henchies or a friend and go.

As far as Ice Tooth, well I don't ever have a reason to go there. Mostly I'm in the War Camp or a South Shiverpeaks town. I can't think of a reason to visit Ice Tooth, but I'll pop in when I'm on and see what's up.

well, that was the whole idea of this vote thread. It was to have people vote on a locale, and then begin to make it a common meeting place/hangout/etc.

I can only do so much, if people dont apply, it doesnt happen. Since i initially had no idea of how to contact mods, i couldnt get early involvment from them, and well, again im fresh out of ideas. This thread was my big idea. ya people do stop by the locale, but i guess not enough are online at the same time to do this.

IDEA OFFICIALLY DEAD! SHOTDOWN! DESTROYED!! lol. =P
