Which are cheap as hell to make.
5 Wood
5 Dust
20 Gold
Crafter is just up the hill in Talus Chute, just outside the forge.

5 wood at 10g each = 50g. 5 dust at 10g each = 50g. 20 g added on to that is 120g per piece, times 350 pieces = 42 Plat.

As opposed to paying 350gp per peice at the trader.
350 Velenium at 350gold apice...comes to 122,500 gold.
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which is cheaper.

So 40 will costs u quite some money but Hey It is a good armor. Now for the monk Design armor.
IT COST A REDICULOUS 200 ROLLS OF PARCHEMENT. While one roll of parchement is like 170 Gold a piece!!!!! That will cost u an absurd 34K max. For a Droknar armor that I think everyone deserves. Especially healer monks. So I think that the price of parchement has to be lowered allot or even better Lower the requirements of the monk armor. I hope somebody listens to this desperate cry of somebody who just can't afford to buy a decent monk armor at these prices.

I know what you mean, It took me longer to get my droks monk tatoos than it took me to get my 15k druids...

i dont see how. droks monk tats =
200 parchment (find someone selling for 90g ea) 90*200 = 18k
10 feathers = roughly like 1 or 2k for total ammount
crafting costs for tats alone = 3.2k
total = 23.2k.
I dont see how it costs you mroe than 15k druids seeing as you cant craft 2 pieces of 15k for that price.....
yes other classes have an easier time for crafting armors, but roughly you shouldnt have to spend more than 25-30k total for all your armor needs at droks (not including runes and dyes). with a little time and patience, anyone can have the armor they want, just depends on how much u want it

I did not say that it was more expensive... It just took longer, for whatever reason

Easy solution:: Don't buy the tattoo's. There are other armor types... Heck, why you're at it, make another useless thread about necro tattoo's, and i'll tell you the same.

yup you can make your own from a crafter or just buy it from people.
I see people selling it for 80 to 90gp
You do not have to buy it from the rare material guy.

personally i took one look at what i'd have to pay for Tats and went for Saintly. it looks so much better IMO. (a week later the price of materials for saintly skyrocketed :P)
the only monk tats i would now wear would be fissure armor (not that i will ever be able to afford it :P)

Look on the bright side for the monk. Vellum is a lot easier to make than Deldrimor Steel. Also, for FoW armor, the Ascetic's Set doesn't even require any shards and only costs 8k per piece.

i like a combination of the two. my monk isnt level 20 yet, but i think she looks quite nice like this:
ascetics dyed red
censors pants dyed silver.

Bit weird combination, energy wise at least. Censor gives -energy while ascetic gives +. So, in the end, you gain nothing(ignoring the fact that you have 3:1 tatto/armor ratio^^).

Way to ammass parchment:
Go into Ascalon or LA or Droks and post |Quick Gold| WTB ALL your parchment @8 g a piece! (Buying up to 4000 planks)
I got like 10 stacks of wood this way. Once in a while, people in droks sell like 3 stacks at 9 or 10 g a piece.
Much cheaper than buying parchment. And you can make a profit too, if you resell excess parchment.
