Great update Dev team.

I only want Halloween! You are awesome. Who cares about scary santa we have Bad Santa. I want ghouls, ghost, goblins, and the rest of the freaky G's

Make this an annual GW update and you have me for life.

Default Praising.. decorations?

I'm going to try and repost my rant from the Sanitarium here becuase it appearently wasn't ranty enough

---------------------------------------------------
It strikes me as being very odd/stupid that, when no matter what Anet did in the past with updates, nobody was ever happy. Every time they got a fix they just wanted more.

"HWAT? NEW QUESTS? WE WANT SKILL FIXES!!!"
"WHAT? SKILL FIXES?! What about PvE? Need more areas and quests!"
"What? New PvE area? Who wants that. People only play this game for PvP, after all: we want even more skill fixes! And observer mode! And toggle capes while you're at it!!"

But wait.. What's this! O, HARK! Halloween Decorations! Whoa! Pumpkins! Ghosts! Walking around and being merchants?! Whoa! It's almost like they remade the Hell's Precipice outpost in Tombs/Lion's Arch! Wahoo.

Praise be to Anet forever and ever, for they have given us a giant moon with a big scawy face and made everyting spawoooooky! If only we could dress up like pumpkins.. No, Ninja Turtles!

I mean, common, people, what gives? Where's the complaining? All they did was fill three outposts with childish party favors. Where's the despondency?

I'm wondering why everyone loves this update which only fixes four skills that got broken only a week ago and the toggle capes feature which I have yet to hear anyone mention.

They're just decorations. What's the big deal?

Very cool update; love the cape/helm feature - but 1 more request.
Can we have more options, like "Show Only in Towns and Outposts" for example (cause thats the only time I'd want my cape to show on some of my characters).

I'm the only person who has said anything remotely negative. I just want to know why people love these decorations so much. It doesn't make much since to me. I don't see why wondering this question should make me a World of Warcraft player or why you use that as an insult.

I just can't figure why everyone loves this update so much, and hated all the others. Like I said, it's just decorations.

i guess you're just jaded by all the retards in this game. come out and enjoy the work that anet poured into droknar's forge, LA and tombs. it's halloween, a "holiday" that is meant to be enjoyed...so enjoy it.

Ooh. Have to sign and say something nice since its well deserved:

To me its not that its just decorations (it may yet still be more than that), its that Anet cares to spend some time to do some things to add a bit of flavor to the game even while they are working on another chapter. The more stuff like this the better. Love it. SF too, for the simple reason that they didnt have to do it, but did. Cheers to Anet. Good job to all involved. Conga lines FTW!

So.. can we get Gwen merrily leading Undead Hordes into the towns? lol.

I will spell it out for you....THIS UPDATED EFFECTED EVERYONE....this was not a "fixed skill for Ranger" update. This is a celebration update for all to enjoy. It is also a visual update that makes streaming updates and "rpg" fun. Let's say they do nothing for Halloween (like almost every mmo). You log on and play as usual but nothing to get you in the mood or say "WOW this is awesome". Updates like this (and the nerfs/upgrades) will keep me a GW fan for as long as they make the game. I get riled up and sometimes pissed about nerfs . I get excited and pumped about some fixes . I feel elated with this! Where else can you get that much emotion from a video game?

The artwork is so fking nice, I LOVE the moon in tombs, the skull in droknars, and EVERYTHING in lions arch. The ghost kinda freaked me out when I saw them floating around in town, then I laughed when I saw w/mo's humping the skull in droknars forge. I loved the toggle cape/helm choice, ESPECIALLY THE THUNDERCLAP FIX (god I hate people who abused that. :P), The halloween dress ups of course, and teh partay.

Very impressive artwork ANet, I've never seen such a buzz of excitement in Lions arch before. Gives people something to talk about and it's fun to wander around and see all the cool stuff. Granted, the novelty will wear off and the WTS'ers will be back, but it's all good fun.

Once again, thanks for the big effort that was put into this update.

The team's done a great job on everything for this weekend. I've been involved with Guild Wars for over two years now in a variety of capacities, and it never ceases to amaze me the way this team can continually improve the quality and generate amazing special material.

Looks like I'm going to have to try harder, though ... Gaile's a lvl 6 in LA, but I only managed lvl 7!
