Then why are we are forced to celebrate Halloween? which is a american holiday to begin with.
Basically since A.net has people in the UK I don't see the issue with setting off some fireworks in the game, does it hard your gameplay in anyway? I guess not.

I would love to be able to buy my own fireworks and set them off when ever. Would be a huge gold sink, a lot of fun and may even have a practical use. I've used firestorms before to act as a flare for lost party members when they are out of radar range so why not firework distress flares...
It will be interesting to see what other holidays get celebrated. For example new year, christmas, easter etc. Personally I would rather have Tyrian based holidays than ones related to real life. After all not everyone celebrates Christmas, Halloween or even Bonfire night. Of course the tyrian one could correspond with real dates..
Some silly examples off the top of my head
Frog Day - The Annual celebration of the first apperance of the Great Frog Of Tyria.
Patron God Days for each of the professions Mesmer, Warrior etc
In short lets make our own caldender...

FYI... All Hallow's Eve/"Halloween" isn't the same date everywhere in the world. Here in Sweden, for instance, Halloween is 5/11.
EDIT: I support the creation of in-game holidays, e.g. Frog Day.

I actually prefer the decorations. I know they won't be here forever, after all they are just decorations, but I can wish can't I? I find the lighting, or the lack of it I should say, soothing.
