Storage problems might refer to just increasing the size of the storage account (Xunali Agent, probably mispelled..).
I think this is almost more important, because I ended converting my PvP slot to a MULE slot. Hes just at sardelac sanitarium and carries all my golds/greens that I never get around to selling...
Along with like 50 dyes...
Still, I think one REALLY cool thing they could introduce....
SACKS
These are a bit complex and controversial. Basically they give you infinite storage space, as long as you have enough space left to manuever between them.
This is how it works. A sack, for probably about 100g at merchant like a bag or belt pouch, carries 5 items. It cannot be expanded. There is a slot in your inventory to place the current bag, anagalous to rummaging through it.
Heres the big catch:
You can store sacks in sacks!!
This means as long as you are rich enough you can have infinite storage space. However, managing them may be difficult as you can only see one at a time and to see a sack in a sack you would have to veiw the top sack, move the inside sack out, and switch it with the top sack. Then you have to remember which is which. It is easy to get lost in them, but it would be good for storing lots of items...
Anyone think this is an interesting thing to hope for?
Theres only one catch... if you do it that way, the people at ANet have a BIG BIG BIG problem! They must be able to store gigabytes of item/sack information. They might have some sort of limit... only 10 layers of bags at once. You can bypass that with some crafty manuevering within your inventory, but its like using a rubiks cube have fun!
So, any comments?

You already said it. Conflicting storage space can never allow for slots on the server space, unless they get terrabytes and terrabytes of new space.

Too complicated, just give us more storage, like twice what it is.

Well, thats why I said 10 layers. Thats a lot, so lets make it 4. Thats a bit more negotiable too.
However, with some neat moving of sack-to-sack, sack-from-sack, sack-into-sack, etc., you can get the effect of having an extra layer.
I expect that if they do this, there will be guides on "Legally bypassing the sack limit". This would be fun to have too, almost as a toy within the game.
It would also give smart people an advantage
and, about the 'too complicated' thing, thats half the point. Put some thinking into the game....
The only downside is that you cannot do anything with sacks while you're drunk...
Then again, I only know a couple people who have played GW while drunk.
Its actually VERY funny, especially when they try to PvP with you with a mic.... almost wortht he fact that their char is useless when it isn't used correctly
On a lighter note, who plays with rubiks cubes?

the answer he gave stated that the assassin profession was the FIRST to be confirmed and we would have to wait for the REST of the professions to be confirmed.
he said REST of instead of the OTHER (if only 1 more)
there is also the official rumor of new playable races and the assassin is human so make your own opinion.
i will stick my neck out and go for 1-2 new races and at least 4 new professions along with some new spells/skills for existing professions.
this is based on the following simple truth
chapter 2 is more important to them than chapter 1 so they will go all out on it.
it means the difference between someone saying *is this all we get? i will pass *
or someone saying *OMG LOOK*
they need to keep the happy player base
get the doing other things but liked the game back
and most important get the attention of a huge new bunch of players who didnt buy chapter 1 yet
they have a big budget and a vested interest (their paychecks) to make chapter 2 so good people will automatically get chapter 3 saying *i will get it because look how much we got in chapter 2*
EDIT
i play with the 4 on a side rubiks cubes

How many professions do we have atm? 6.
How many slots? 4.
GG -_-

Here's my theory...
For every 2 new profession, there should be 1 new slot. This is to play both sides of profession w/o rediculously storing large no. of items in every slots.
Currently, we have 4 slots and its because 3 slots is enough to play all 6 professions and another 1 slot for PVP.
Ofcourse if we would pay Chapter 2 the same price as Chapter 1, we should get what we deserve. Another 4 new slots and doubles the storage space. But this would be a problem to ArenaNet and a plus for farmers so I suggest that reduce the Chapter 2 price or convert the slots into more new items and skills.
So if there would be 2 new professions, there should be 1 new slot and implement the PVP Template so we can create/delete PVP chars as fast as selecting items in a combobox using 1 slot only.

Me? I've never given any numbers, so you'll just have to wait and see. Pretty sure I know which post you're refering to ... it was deliberately rather vague with multiple interpretations .
As for character slots, there's nothing confirmed yet. They're a definite potential addition, as we know those who have already got an account full of long-term characters will not like being forced to delete one to play the new professions.

hi Alex
that is why i always have qualifiers in an answer on that because it was vague and i was nitpicking on the word REST as opposed to the OTHER along with the plural of profession

We've announced there will be new professions a few times already. As noted, the Assassin is the first to be officially named. You'll just have to wait and see on the rest .
|
on the character slots i am refering to a post by Gaile refering to *not expect you to have to remove a character you have spent hundreds of hours on to try one of the new professions* as saying new slot (s) but the number is unknown.
i try to avoid being bitten by something i say

People need to stop thinking about how the farmers will abuse things and start thinking about legit players. Now they've already said in the past that the expansion will be (about) the same cost as the game; if that is true, then i want another 4 character slots along with double storage. Why? Because what about the supposed upcoming "new" items that will be in this expansion? I suppose without double - or triple - storage we will just be asked to dump our old items in favor of the new?

Thanks for adding your two cents, Alex. It stops multiple posts from guessing "how many slots" there will be. I appreciate it. Overall, I'm grateful I don't have to delete any slots..as I've already done it at least 5 times on my one account. Can't currently afford a second, and I'm saving up incase the expansion costs too.
Keep being vague btw. It makes for more cloak-and-dagger mystery. If we knew what was coming out before we had it, it would totally ruin the suprise, I feel =)

Move on to WoW?
...
...
...
Have fun! I have SEVERAL friends who have converted from WoW to GW for a few reasons:
- More difference between classes (professions)
- Even more variety with cross-classes
- No monthly fee (this won me over)
- Doesn't take forever to get to max lvl, but theres always something to work for
- More active updating/nerfing
- Interactive storyline... you work towards a goal other than mere kills (not that mindless killing isn't fun)
- Items have lots of variety, but it isn't impossible to memerize the names of specific item types (deadly cesta = death one-hand)
I hope ANet keeps up the storyline bit. They were good with the titan quests, but I REALLY want to get a new race to attack Tyria!
Lets get some rebel gods to fight here!
