What?!
Holy crap, I leave for 4 months and the whole game changes. This is flipping horse excrement (spelling?)
Ok so let me get this straight, fill me in if I am missing anything:
1. Rift Wardens are gone (Gah! What is the Unworthy crap?)
2. Henge of Devrai sword is no longer craftable (Why? Good thing i made a bunch)
3. You can make rank 10 in a month of playing apparantly so what is the point of rank anymore? Thank you ruining HoH, my favorite part of the game.
4. AI has been increased....kinda looks like all they did was triple the number of mobs....I guess that makes it harder but I don't think that counts as intelligent. Also the henchman seem to through walls more often.
5. People run through the entire game because they say it is boring...I have put 8 characters through pve and have not found it boring because I enjoy learning my combo. I have noticed that the ridiculous lack of knowledge in tombs has increased.
6. Europeans! When did this happen?! The only ones that are good are the Swedes.
7. Ember light camp....ya way to take the fun out of hunting skills. Am I the only one who enjoyed doing it?
I am going through severe culture shock here. I went into tomb and it was like I walked into a WoW fanatics chat room. People with high ranks calling everyone noob and then asking what frozen soil did etc etc you get the idea.
What....the....hell....
How did this happen? The game was doing so well and now it has completely lost it's purpose.
Please for the love of god someone enforce spelling in the game. If I see "teh" or r instead are etc etc so on and so forth, I will begin ritual systematic executions of offenders until it stops.

Well, PM me and I'll buy one HoD sword from you.
Yes Euros have come.
The skill trainer at Ember Light Camp = no jumping towns to look for one skill.
Unfortunately, the knowledge level of HoH players has gone away. You are right, there. There was this build called IWAY...and it ruined everything.

Iway did not ruin everything, the noobs trying to play it did....... Remember when iway was first invented it wasnt a noob build, why do people say it is a noob build now? its quite an obvious answer.

well One and Two summed it up pretty much, and yes it is pretty sad nowadays. Hopefully alot of changes will be made to restore the greatness of the old days... but until then we have to deal with it.

I was refering to the fact that there are high ranking idiots running around thanks to that build. I never said it was a noob build. It's an obvious build, that's what IWAY was made for. People are acting like it's new and they are going crazy with it. I never did a lot of pvp and am by no means extremely good, but i didn't have to lame my way through it.
Facts are Facts. You go into tomb and it's long line of clever IWAY spin off named charcters.
I didn't mean to offend. I imagine you use it since it seems like you assumed I was talking to you

That's what happens when the majority of the teams representing America are using some form of IWAY instead of using balanced builds like Europe.

I am glad that you did not mean to offend. I am also glad that you point out to us that we Europeans are somehow incapable of being good pvp players. This goes for the Fins, the Norwegians, the Danes (let alone the Brits and all the rest), though somehow the Swedes are the exeption. Never mind the fact that guilds like the Ethereal Warriors beat many, many American teams consistently and are therefore ranked first in the world and that there are 7 american guilds in the top 20 vs 5 European guilds (with America having a much larger player base).
Obviously, the logical conclusion is not that quite a few European players have gotten quite good, but rather that the game has 'declined'. Makes perfect sense.

Wow, I kinda get your point, but at the same time I don't. You took like three different points and somehow mixed them together. Must be European mistranslation.
Ok first off, I thought that was supposed to be the obvious joke. Europeans are always the butt of jokes, it's your lot in life accept it.
Second, actually it was half a joke. Anyone play FFXI with the french? Holy god that is a horrid experience. People with like 2 years experience knowing nothing.
But seriously, go check out the European forums. It's always good for a laugh. It's not your fault, you get all the games late.
I will, however, give your Ethereal Warriors guild a cookie if it makes them happier. Perhaps one with sprinkles on it?
Sure Americans are stupid. It's a common known fact. Europeans are silly. Koreans all set up in a sweat shop yelling orders at each other. I heard if someone screws up 3 times they get a finger chopped off. Just wait till Japan gets here. They commit seppuku when they lose a pvp fight.
These are the stereotypes we live with. While for the most part false, they are very humorous.
*edit* Oh ya the swedes thing. They rock. I only say this because I played a game where the guild I was in was primarily swedes and we pretty much owned the game.*edit*

Cool, thanks for the opinion. People, did once actually play the game. Of course from what I can see it is more difficult. But I did a test run through the game with ranger using nothing but henchies and it is still fairly easy.
Takes skill, not money. A lot of people wouldn't know anything about that

Of course it's easy. It's dead easy. It's too easy. Lets too many unskilled people just coast through.
But why would you want to do it 8 times??? I played through the game 4 times for the skills, but I can't imagine having to trudge through that stuff any more.

I don't see why i have to explain myself for doing something that I enjoyed. It's not like I said I fondled bear cubs or anything
Back then you couldn't run all the way through and then unlock your skills. You had to actually hunt them. So I brought each class through to unlock the skills needed for pvp. I had to delete some chars to make room for farming charcters. I'm terribly sorry if I have upset you with the way things used to be done. I know it boggles your mind as to why I didn't pay to run through and then unlock my skills at ember. Then lame my way to rank 10 with IWAY. Please forgive my transgressions
Anyway you are entitled to your opinion. Before this turns into a flame fest I would like to close with: Maybe once you have played longer than 2 months you may understand.

"Well back in the old days, we had to blah blah blah" SNOOOORE I'm sure you were a big huge fan of the way capture signets used to work or whatever, but things have changed, gramps. And many things for the better.
2 months? Haha I've played this game since E3 for Everyone. Do you remember that, or is your memory failing you? And I guess you're getting too old to read, because I thought I specifically stated that I played through this game 4 times.
Anyway, whine away at your pleasure, but it seems to me you made this thread so people could mock you for being a senile old man.

Closing this thread for flaming, misconceptions, and whatnot.
Just a side note: commenting on someone's join date to GwG is very, very iffy as some people are lurkers (like me) and some just didn't bother to join until now.
