I celebrate christmas, and I semi-appreciate it, but I certainly don't have a need to celebrate it in an online game. Unaffected? We have people here posting about how they should make christmas ranger spirits and other bull crap that will clog up PvP. Considering my main source of PvP atm is through RA and TA due to not being on for 8 people, I'd rather not go through another week of pumpkin head teammates dancing for no apparrent reason. Also, I occassionally run my PvE characters for neg energy weapons and such, and I'd rather not spend my time in the districts watching idiots playing around christmas bullcrap .

unienaule's comparison with GW and Nazi's actually seems pretty accurate.

You're taking it all far too seriously mate. There are lots of people posting lots of suggestions. I doubt that Anet would implement any holiday theme that would affect gameplay.

As Aron said - chill.

Go play WoW for a few weeks ... oh no, it's Christmas there too

... and I would be more than happy to enjoy other holidays and festivals even if I don't personally celebrate them. Variety is the spice of life.

With Christmas being the most commercialized and overrated holiday, some of us would just rather not have to deal with it in every single thing they do, including playing computer games. In other words, it all gets rather tiring when it shows up in every single pass time activity you have. A.net just has to choose which group to ignore, and ofcourse, there's no other better group to ignore than the "vocal minority".
