I've never heard anything about there being a bundle of Chap 1&2 when Chap 2 comes out...so I'm not sure.
Anyways, it'll be like 6 months before Chapter 2 comes out. Ask yourself how soon you want to have those other characters.

Put it this way: many games that have expansions will eventually come with them all bundled. But its very likely that in 6 years time you'll be buying bundles with GW 1 and chaps 2 - 6 all in one If you want the chars now, just go for it. Don't forget, you might hate chap 2 and not want to buy it twice anyway

I'm pretty sure that Chapter 2 will not require you to have Chapter 1 installed in order to play it as you aren't required to purchase any of the chapters in order to play the others.

No, what I mean is that if you only buy Chapter 2 then you only get 4 character slots, but if you add the CD Key to your existing Chapter 1 account(s) then you get an additional 2 characters slots for a total of 6.

You might only have to buy one physical copy of Chapter 2, but I'm pretty sure you would have to pay for the second account key to be able to upgrade both accounts.

I don't think you need any physical copies at all. I never used mine, I just updated what was on my machines from the beta's. It never asked for it anyway.
As far as needing 2 cd keys, all I can say is that it certainly took 2 separate CD key's to activate both accounts upon release.
As far as 1 chapter every year, the original talk from Anet was something like 1 every 6 mo. That clearly seems to have fallen off.
As far as buying this game 6 years from now, come on. Does anyone who has a clue about the industry really think this game will be around in 6 years? Diablo has lasted 5 years now, but that kind of success is not exactly common. If fact, the number of games that have maintained a viable community after 6 years can be counted on a very short list. Games a hell of a lot bigger and more popular than GW didn't last anywhere near 6 years.

methinks that you need chapter 1 but after that you can have any random chapters you want (unsure on that but it'd make sense since the other chapters are still, technically, expansions).
Also yes, you would 99% definately need 2 chapter 2's to upgrade both accounts. You can only have one account atm for each cd key, so I doubt GW will change that for future chapters.
Sayshina: Ultima Online. Celebrating its 8th year. I'd like to note that NO i don't think GW will last 6 years, but it IS possible

But what if you add in the years when Diablo I was popular? And what if Diablo III was released?

so basicly if you buy chapter 2, you get two more characters added to your GW account? sweet. I can make a mesmer without deleting one of my other characters now and try the new class.
