URM the mods u put on it shouldt change the animations, it must be a glitch or something. u sure its a stormbow not an enteral bow?

I used to get the same problem back when I played my ranger, It would randomly animate/freeze when I would log on. Sometimes when I switched it with another bow it would re-animate.

If I remember correctly, Storm Bows have three different skins. Perhaps you have one of the other ones?

~Edit-My bad, I was thinking of a different bow. For some reason I was thinking about the Horn Bows.

i think its just a client side bug, happens to fellblades also, the animation just stops, i guess till now nobody has cared, so they havnt reported any bug reports

Yes, this happens to everyone that has a storm bow from time to time, so you might as well get used to it or report it and hope it gets fixed. Mine will get "stuck" every so often, and then it mysteriously starts "working" again sometime later, no amount of switching/relogging/etc is going to affect it.

My bet, is that it uses up server-side resources, and when they get low (high server load) some of the "fancier" things in the game stop, like fellblade animation, stormbow animation, etc ... just a guess.

What I find hilarious about the storm bow is: look at it's shadow it casts on the ground. put on a normal bow, check the shadow, then put on your stormie ... you'll see what I mean. Looks like you're holding a gigantic squash

I ve noticed that on one before also.. I thought it might have something to with graphics or connection on my comp. But I might try to sell it as a "Glitch when the game first came out, and it has no movement and does double damage... but they fixed the bug so no more drop, yours for only 50K"

I didn't notice an animations change when I dropped an icy string, from lightning, on my storm bow.

It looks more like a banana to me.

I've had this happen a few times before. And it's not just with the fellblades and storm bows either. I've seen some problems such as on the halloween event where the spirits were coming out of the couldren in Lion's Arch, that froze up. I've also seen the spirits in Hell's Precipice freeze up as well.

That happens to me also and I think to other people but depends on the person if the notice small things or not.

All storm bows have the animations of lightning going around them, as for Fellblades they have the pattern that keeps moving.

I think depending on when the game loads or how many people are there or graphics sometime the animations just freeze.

It same as when loading a town and you see everyone with no bodies or naked or that shiny looking silver and black armor.
