Default GW server lagging problems

The past few days, I've experienced an increase in lags on GW. First I thought it was just me. But my guildmembers experienced likewise heavy lagproblems.
From various players, I'm starting to hear lagging problems the last few days.

I'm not talking on a 1 second lag. I'm talking about lagspikes up to 10 seconds!
And my (cable-) provider is fine, I can promise you that.

What is going on with the ANet servers?

The lag problems are intolerable to play long term.
In example:
- I'm walking in the opposite direction of where I want to go.
- I get lagspikes on a caster while I get beat up by warrior for 10 seconds.

Good Game.

Are you also experiencing the lagging problems these days?

It might be because they're upgrading servers for Ch2, but if that's the case they should've notified players in the login screen. Too often was I logged out during a trade...

i've been having alot of lag and likewise my internet provider is fine. most of the time lag is not that big of a deal but in a gvg when it lags me to the middle of a fight that i don't want to be in its kinda bad.

Whew I thought it was jsut something I ate... I too have been moving backwards, sideways, rubberbanding. Two days ago I sat and watch my character glide about in a town all by herself. I left town and couldn't get 50 feet as I kept finding myself rubberbanded back. I logged out and logged back in and it was fine after that.
I have also run far past a portal (to where the landscape actually ends) before portaling. If nothing else it gave me a laugh to see. Luckily, hasn't happened anywhere that would cause a death.. yet.

i haven't had any major lag in-game (just the odd second long bit or so) but I have had the occassional log-in attempt where its come up with "connecting" for a good 10 seconds or more; in fact earlier i sat there for well over a minute and ended up closing the client and reopening it.

first i thought it would be due to the event, but even after it there are lagspikes that can get pretty annoying. (people died, i died, whole monster groups lagging into you - aka fighting the monster with a sword from 30 feet away.
most times other ppl in my group experience the same lag.

reported this yesterday.

I'm surprised I have not encountered any lag at all in a long time. Apart from the occasional skip, there is barely any lag when I play.
