why dont anet make some anti bot code instead of royally peeing off the actual players.
anet nerfer 1) hey lets sort out all the farming bots,
anet nerfer 2) ok, i suggest nerfing skills as coding is too much hassle, will it affect the gamers though,
anet nerfer 1) probably but screw them, we have their money already

Making anti-bot coding is much harder than it sounds. It is easy to detect a bot if it constantly does the same motions for hours, but there are bots that are programmed to make random moves at times to make them seem like real players.

if you nerf 55 monks (typically mo/w) you are nerfing w/mo as well. They just might not use the same skills as much...

maybe u were having rly bad luck cuz i just ran out to Mineral Springs after reading your post and was still getting exp and drops wihtout attacking a single Avicara and only using SoJ

i had someting similar to that happen with trolls outside droks. had a freind helping me lvl up my mes. well make a long story short, we got to the troll cave and he was killing them and i was a little ways back well in range of minimap but wasnt getting any exp from them when they died. had to wand them atleast once to get any exp. just thought it was odd to say the least and that was last night.

if you actually had read my post, you would know that i hadnt gone there in a couple weeks, so it wasnt a drop-fatigue experience.
I was only in Mineral once this morning, but I'll go back now and see if I still have the issue.

Hi ....
Because I can? I enjoy finding ways to do things solo that full teams normally do. It is a challenge and often doesn't work or pay off. I am a team player, yes...but I also have times where I want just little old me to go out and play. In those times, I dont want to low level farm...thats no fun and rarely profitable.
And...anyone in this game can make a solo farmer, so if they complain that one person is getting a full teams worth of drops, maybe they should stop complaining and make a solo build?
Solo farming isn't my main role in the game, it is something I do for fun or when I need to boost my gold a bit. Even though I don't solo farm as much as some and DO play in teams, I dont like the idea of Arenanet forcing people to team.

HOLY CRAP that was my idea!!!
Well ok maybe not exclusively my idea since probably lots of people thought of this but I remember proposing this as a possible future update. But the purpose wasn't to affect solo farming. It was to make those god damn xp leeches do some work. Now I guess they can't just go afk anymore. Yay anet, assuming they really did implement this, otherwise boo.

Sometimes even tagged things don't drop anything. Playing as a W/Mo and having to strike everything (I don't use SOJ or GD) with cyclone Axe many times I've had mobs/npcs not drop a thing, but, I don't whine about it. I just move onto the next group or start the run over again when complete. When I notice this happening is usually after then 2nd run. 3rd and 4th runs start to produce less and less and after 4 runs I move to another zone.

This is a bug so send it to anet. They have a stance against farming but they do not want to kill it completely for the honest farmers. Don't be scared to send in bug reports like this. Since they can track everything in the game to begin with no need to be paranoid about it

well I love these updates... really love them
if I were them I would delete the stupid 55 monk builds, to bad you just can't do that hehe
Never been a fan of farm builds, but thats just my thought about it
I am happy with the update, its not normal that ppl can solo areas wich are ment for only 6-8 player groups
(i was standing in augury rock yesterday and it was funny how many 55 monks came past me in only 1 minute )

I'm right with you!! If this stops people from leeching, then it has my full Signet of Approval. You know, this could have been put in for that purpose, not to stop farming. Just my 2 cents.

Look. If everyone hates the 55 monk build why don't y'all ask for a patch that'll bump the minimum BASE health to 100 for any monk/warrior character equipped with a pre-searing offhand item that has more than 10k in storage and has at least one protection skill in their skillbar? (pls don't take that seriously).

No, no, no. As a healing or protection monk playing in a group I hardly ever attack mobs. That does not mean I am leaching experience if I am still contributing to the group by healing.

One thing I don't understand.
If this thing of using SoJ is true, why just not take it away from the game?
Oh! I know, because they'd had to take away SS too.
Or Anet could always do like they did with B. Aura, fire rain and the others, make it a useless spell.
They got what they wanted, I stopped farming a long ago.
I'm doing old HoH again and again and drops there will become less and less, trust me. (remember S. Furnace and IDS?)

Don't know about the higher level areas, but I had a banner run today. Two superior and two major vigors and a superior healing. Not a bad day's solo farming.
If they are trying to eliminate power leveling, I am all for that.
PS. I only farm when none (or few) of my guild members are on.
