Talking 55 Oink !!

I thought I had to share this....the strangest experience I have to date playing GW

I was with a PUG in Kryta doing the mission to get into Lions Arch, we are going OK until the last battle across the swamp to the boss dude and the Necrid Horseman, where we we get it wrong, get spanked and all of us bar a lvl 9 Me/Mo die. there are only two sorcerors, the boss and the horseman left. We think about bailing but decide to see if the Me/Mo can get anywhere near us to rez.

Somewhere along the way we recruited this warthog thing called Oink. I'm not sure where, but the lil fella has been tagging along, and is still not giving up the fight. For some reason the undead don't recognise him as a threat, so go back to being passive, despite the continual head charging of the lil fella Oink.

He takes out the first Sorceror...and then the second, now we are all ROFLOAO at this point and someone has christened him the 55 Oink.

Not content with this, he proceeds to attack the Necrid Horseman and batters him to within an inch of his un-life, allowing the Monk to Rez us and we take the Necrid and the boss man down and complete the mission.

So I'd just like to say thanks for saving our azzes to the 55 Oink...not only did he complete the mission for us, but made me laugh so hard I had to stop playing for about 10 mins afterwards.

Hehe that's hilarious I love that little pig, I named my own pig Oink as an homage. Now I have to change it to "55hp Pig". Thanks for the story!

Oink is an NPC that follows you for the bonus - which you didn't activate - so he continued to follow you.

It's a pity that Oink isn't one of the henchies you can take.

Don't know why, but warthogs seem to fly under the radar a lot of the time. I thought oink was a hoot the first time I went through there, so when I made my latest character, W/R, I chose a warthog as a pet. A lot of times it seems that he is the only one in the party that doesn't take damage.

Kryta rocks for that mission and for the Divinity Coast mission. In both you get super-powered NPC's that distract the undead and don't steal drops from you.

I had a similar experience once. My team got killed in the mission, and after we were dead Oink started killed all the enemies around, so at least we got revenge although we all died :s

I took 2 screenies of it as well:

no its aidans pet

but nothing stops him from changing after he noticed how strong and unbudgable oink is

Besides I really wished that as a hench you could get a beastmaster ranger and that some of those skills get beefed a tad... I so miss a consistent knockdown . All the good ones are so conditional.
