Why would someone run a tank in pve? I run a pve damage warrior (w/r), never really saw the point of the tank...

That would be such a boring way to play.

He is right. It doesn't have to be said with any sort of doubt. The only two choices for a warrior right now are the Hex reduction helm and the weapon mastery helms.

Warriors are a pretty poor source of damage for PvP. They can't compete with the heavier casting damage that the other classes can bring ot the table. In my opinion a warrior should be there to grab the attention of targets and hold them there. Yes people are smarter than AI but if my warrior runs up on you and starts wailing the damage won't be much compared to say meteor shower or something but it will be enough to make you stop and pay attention to me, often long enough for one of my team mates to get the fatal blow in. The only thing I have to do is survive your attacks long enough for them to hit you and frankly Strength is a survival attribute. Everyone get's so used to the "tactics that work" as described by websites and other guides that they lose sight of other tactical possibilities.
One of the primary principles of warfare that applies even to this game is that the minute you come up with a proven tactic to defeat your enemy your enemy will start trying to formulate tactics to counter you. Move away from the accepted norms and experiment. Every skill has a use and every attribute can be applied in a beneficial manner.

Link 1: Warrior damage > other damage.
Link 2: How many people ran non-Warrior builds?

No, not every skill has a use.

I run a maxed out tactics build with the rest of the points in strength. zero points in weaponry. I can run the desert and farm at the same time with no problems.................If you can't figure out how, then I'm sorry.

A shame Strength has proven in extensive testing to be trash. A shame Weapon mastery has proven in extensive testing to be the best attribute to spec highly in for a warrior.

People follow trends... Correction, top level players in this game follow trends not because "Hey he done it" but because "Hey, this works" and "Wow, these guys that ran this aren't stupid"
FnlD Vs TPF
Good luck buddy.
Edit: Victories don't make you right, they mean you are better. Losses make you wrong, so you can learn and be right.

So what you're saying is a bonus that gives a small percentage additional damage on a skill is better than having a higher percentage critical chance, which hits more often and does more damage. (ps that small percentage is about an awesome 6% extra damage)
Interesting logic, to be fair

Good Game - shot yourself there. Pity warriors are the only class that can quickly solo a GL, they're the most common class in split builds, they have huge pressure AND can spike. Where is the elementalist pressure? Speed boosts, with huge spiking capability.
Infact, their only weaknesses is that they cannot easily work with a lot of secondary skills, and they have to build up adrenaline

My 2 cents on strategy: Using personal attacks to try to support your build ideas is a very lazy, cookie cutter strategy. Therefore, I deleted all those posts once they degenerated into flames, so stop it.

I must apologise for the above situation. I'm usually good at spotting what I can only describe as pointless antagonisation. This time however I failed. Since post's are prone to being edited and deleted so freely, I will refrain from posting from now on to avoid sounding like a nonsensical idiot.
Cheers...

What have you been smoking? Warriors are the primary damage dealers in PvP. Any team that depends on Meteor Shower to deal reliable damage won't beat a Minion Factory, let alone a competent team.

I prefer dividing my Attribute points between all 3 weapons. 11 in Swords, 10 in Axe and 10 in Hammer. And then I use my Strength helmet.

Now...listen and listen well.
I said that the Gladiator's helm is the best choice. I did not say that the whole set is the best. Personally, I mix a few sets to get the reduction bonus from the plate set where necessary and other sets for armor/energy where best.
By the way, your guild rank does not determine how good or knowledgeable you are. I would hardly even consider it a good way to measure one's success. I do not care how those 8 people you know do in a guild battle.
As for the helm choice, I reiterate that gladiator's is the best choice not only because you get the +1 attribute, but you also get +1 energy (a small boost but a boost nonetheless). And when will buffing your team's armor help you? 20 armor is a substantial boost that can ease the demand on your monks.
Oh, and I beleive your holding healing sig on a bit too high of a pedastal. I am not sayin its bad, i'm saying its good but not as good as you make it out to be.

You've got it backwards. You want your armor set to be mostly Gladiator's, but the headgear should be either a +1 weapon attribute helm or Lieutenant's Helm. The boots should be Knight's/Ascalon. +1 to your weapon far outweighs +1 to Tactics and a minor +1 energy.

If they're winning, they're doing something right.

Warriors should not be close enough to the Monks to be able to buff them with shouts consistently.

Apparently I spoke above my "pay grade" so to speak and I have been asked by my Guild leader to offer a formal apology for hte flames I wrote and for the trash talk. So here it is. I retract my flames and apologize for my behavior. I've been told not to post on forums anymore without my guild leaders express approval.
