Anyway, in PVE your teammates are the ones who don't wait for you to regen. Also I rarely have a battery in the team I'm in and I certainly never ask for one.
Regen is for monks without energy management. This is something most PvE monks lack, because they never needed to do it, as PvE has a very relaxed pace.

Glad you can hench the game, personally I would rather play with real people.
I mostly play PvE to get it done quick and get my skills anyway. I would rather play with and against real people.

Lol, This is so cute. I got on my puter at 7am this morning, there was a group that failed thuderkeep and the warrior was yelling at the monk for it in ThunderKeep.
The monk of course Yelled back and what not then starting screaming "STRIKE FOR MONKS".
So i being really really bored went to every Dis in every town of the game saying " MONKS ON STRIKE @THUNDERHEADKEEP!! COME SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW MONKS!!"
And well after a hour of going to every town in every dis I was able to get 3 dis of Thuder Full of Monks danceing and Screaming STRIKE!. It was cute.
I had to stop reading, move away from my coworkers, and laugh very loud somewhere out in the hallway
Anyway, it's been said over and over and over again that monks don't get enough respect ... this part I agree with ... however: they are no more deserving of respect than any other class, they just happen to get the blame for most problems since their errors (percieved or actual) are more apparent to the whole party than any other class.
For example, sure you can see the pink-bar of a monster who is hexed ... is that your necro? your mesmer? what hex is it and is it helping? You can't tell.
Can you see your entire party's health bar at the right side of the screen? Yep. and as soon as someone is low, or dead, everyone will point the finger at the monk ... who is often not to blame.
And one more thing: I play both a monk and a warrior character ... and the reason warriors are blamed the most often is because they ARE out front, clearly visible to anyone behind them, and are more under the microscope as well: you have to find the balance of being far enough out that you take aggro, and not heading out when everyone isn't ready or can't reach you.
Life's lesson for today? You can spend a few hours blaming and whining, or a few minutes helping and correcting ...

I will admit it is extremely annoying when you're able to heal the entire group but the people in it make it so it's not possible (read: bonder setup w/ healing). I don't understand why people feel the need to rambo in all the time.
The eles have now joined the Strike. As far as this reporter can tell, you must pay for healing and nuking. This is live from GWN, Mina Drakul reporting.

Well i think that has to do with the fact that most Warrior's prior to playing Gw, were in some way or another an FPS gamer and with that basic concept they will always rambo in, CS:S,COD,BF2,Doom,Unreal T, etc etc!!!
I have played all those games and i do recall ramboing quite often its a hard habit to break, but fun none the less. But in those games there is no such thing as aggroo!!
Anyway cant wait to get home and play some GW!!!!!
TO ALL WHO ACTUALLY KNOW THE ANSWER, a question for serious players only
isnt one of the main problems the person or persons who charge off and cant wait until everybodies skills and energy have filled up before going on to the next mob?
Yes, it's the Leeroy Jenkins factor...the reason I'm sometimes embarrassed to play my warrior and the main reason my monk is a pretty much a storage toon.

I always use hench monks anyway. I have yet to meet a monk player that can do anything that the AI in the henches can't do just as well. Sure their skills are limited but they suffice and that's all that I really need. While this marginally amusing, the key word being marginally, it's also annoying simply because of how incredibly stupid it is. While many people may find some humor in the antics of buffoons I only find something to hold in contempt. If anything this little moment of idiocy has only strengthened my resolve to use only hench monks.
EDIT: For the record this also strengthens my position that A net should make more of the game content soloable for those of us who hate playing with morons.

Either way, I don't really care. I have said it before and I will say it again, you don't *need* any particular profession in GW. I won't charge for my nuking or my monking and if you see me there tonight (on my ele) I won't be joining in the flame war.
This whole thing comes down to everyone treating everyone else like crap. Why did that Warrior have to yell at that monk? Why is it that I have never received a compliment whil playing my mesmer (maybe because I suck, but I doubt that is the whole reason)?
Monks get a lot of crap because their mistakes are noticible, mesmers get alot of crap because thier effects are hard to see, rangers get no love because...not really sure why on that one, warriors get yelled at because eveyone dies after they lose control of aggro (after enemies get past them, not always because they aggro'd too much)...
It is so easy to see mistakes, try complimenting your teammates sometime, and not just 'gj everyone, I'm out.' Make a specific statement toward a specific individual. I always try to tell someone when they did well (again this may be due to the fact that my first and most played character is a mesmer).
The sad fact is that MOST monks suck, MOST warriors suck, MOST elementalists suck, MOST necromancers suck, MOST rangers suck, and even MOST mesmers suck. I am NOT an elitist, but that is a true statement. I try my best and fail often, if you want to flame me and then go on strike go ahead.

this isnt to a single person, but..all you people that claim to be able to do missions with hench (and it is possible) WHY are you bothered by the strike? why complain? to get involved bcoz all the monks and now eles are involved? now thats sad.
by the way id like to say..monks can deal damage..armor ignoring damage, called smite. holy damage. people always underestimate it but its amazingly powerful

The protest has no real aim other than raising monk awareness--and, yes, it needs to be raised. Not for everyone, no.
But for those Leeroys out there, those people who don't understand, say, aggro management, or that monks need time to recharge--or, hell, the use of stances, this protest, even if it is so chaotic and random, this is for them.
Personally I'd like to see this backfire on them in a bad way. I hope this ends up giving monks such a bad rep that they end up becoming pariahs. I can only hope that you will no longer see people spamming requests for a monk to join a group. I hope that this little endeavour will push people to explore other options and henchmen combos and get away from this stupid dependency on player monks. Wake up! They aren't necessary. In fact most, if not all, of the game can be done with just henchmen. It's difficult and requires more strategy and careful aggro management but honestly those are skills we could all use some practice with. Player monks are an addiction and now it's time to kick that nasty habit.
DK heals slightly beneath Orison--but it has the added effect of healing extra for every hex and enchantment on the target. Awful nifty spell. Good for a little extra oomph when enchantments are abound (protty mcprocster!) or hexes are everywhere.
As for firestorm, that's a given.
.. despite that, it still amazes me to see it used.
But if you can do it with hench, dont get involved..laugh and let it be. me thinks all ppl can read, so i think we do know what dwaynas kiss and firestom does =P yeah, firestorm learn from experiance, but, its a defence spell now, if u wanna get away from enemys, run under a allies firestorm =D
