Experienced players will have at least lvl 7 when they arrive in Ascalon city, therefore 7 skill points (or 8 maybe). That's quite a lot, I think.

And it's not like you need to unlock -all- the skills. Just the ones that really matter.

hmm noticed alot of ppl saying the skills are avaliable if you have alrdy unlocked them on ur account.
Well in my experience this isn't true and i'll explain why..
a week ago i changed one of my charactors secondary to Mesmer, a class i have never used before and had to run around certain trainers to get certain skills, but now after this update i can get all the non elite skills as early as ascalon and as i have never used Mesmer before i had no Mesmer skills unlocked before this update. Agreed it makes it easier get your charactor started if your on say your 2nd or 3rd, but now a completely new player can come in and get the same skills i have apart from the elites without having to Earn them basically.... Kind of unfair dont u think ?
anyway thats my Rant over with

Old prophecies campaign might be scrapped and taken offline.
Factions + Prophecies means alot of server space, they might be thinking about erasing the odl for the new to save money. Which obviously is good for us as we will most likely pay less in the long term, but also bad as all the old money making areas will be gone..

I often wonder when they will get rid of presearing?I was just wanting to know if you have deleted char. does this mean those skill are unlocked and do you have to buy them? This is if you want to change your secoundary.

There have been a few people who said it, but this is not a bug. It is from the newest update from March 9.
It shouldn't be that big of a deal, you still have to unlock the skills before you can get them on a low lvl char, and you still have to have enough money (easy) and enough skill points (easy-ish). It is not as if you are getting something new, you already had to unlock them to gete them on this new char...

or just buy them from skill trainers in Cantha. Since you need to be ascended to cross either way between the campaigns, and since it seems you don't need to be ascended to buy prviously unlocked non-elites, you'll be able to buy Prophecies-only non-elites early in Factions if you've already unlocked them with a Prophecies char.
Also it makes the special edition useful for those players who only play PvE

Well this raises an interesting question: Will Cantha skill trainers even be offering account-unlocked skills that are Prophecies-only (and vice versa) ??? Nobody knows the answer to that question as of yet. I think it's one of those wait-and-see answers.

This is a good update, but I have to admit, I sort of did miss the fun and hassle of searching for the right "trainer".... lol
