Well on Sunday night Carinae got to play "Dodge the Tornado!"

I live in Springfield, Illinois. Just south of the Chatham Road and Wabash intersection. These are two of the main traffic routes for southern Springfield.

We had three F3 tornados go through within 3 hours! They all took an identical path down Wabash road. This is big-time residential and urban cityscape.......uttery smashed.

Lots of homes and buildings with no roofs. Telephone poles, utility lines snapped off, imbedded into the roads, wires everywhere. 65,000 people with no power because *every single* high-voltage line in my area is down, so no re-routing is possible.

The tornadoes went about 3-4 blocks from my house, but when they did, it was crazy loud!!!!! The walls were shaking, stuff slamming into the house and windows, my ears were popping, dog freaking out... (prot spirit! prot spirit!!!)

There is a 35 foot, steel roof section laying in my neighbors yard that HAD to come from over a mile away, because there are no buildings with roofs like that for a mile for so.

A friends car has a broken window, but eight cars over.... the cars are MISSING! Just gone.

Power *just* came on for my house, and somehow I have NO DAMAGE, but people across the street and all around, lost roofs, garages, cars, businesses.

I'm glad that you are ok. Tornados are funny things, I saw 1 tornado literally jump over a building leaving it untouched, but detroying the buildings before and after, odly enought it was a church.

Finally got time to played Battlefield 2. God i love loading my jeep full of C4 and drove it into enemy base! or even tanks!

I didn't do anything special, but I don't play GW every night anyway. But I watched 24, follwed by CSI. Then I loaded up Star Ocean 3. Someday I'm gonna finish it, and then Xenosaga I... and then buy and finish II, perhaps before III comes out. And somewhere in there I'll be looking for the release of FFXII which is due out in Japan on March 16th.

I took the opportunity to straighten up my apartment and catch up on my West Wing season 5 DVDs. Was the finest show on television.
